Great look, poor quality
I have four of the Serenity Rice Paper blinds, and eight (8) of the Kyoto blinds. Purchased two years ago. They really aren't raised/lowered very often, but about 6 months ago I noticed the plastic rings on the back of the blinds (which hold the cords in place for raising and lowering) are breaking. I bought these because I liked them, but also because they were so affordable for large windows. Price is good, and they look good, but only if you are prepared to repair them yourself, or replace after a year or year and 6 months, possibly sooner if they are raised/lowered often. I guess you get what you pay for, right?

Love the blinds!
I bought these blinds a couple of month ago and I really do like them. I used them in my two bedrooms. They allow a lot of light to get in the room and do look really modern. I am very happy with my purchase, and the quality is very good to. Can only recommend them!

Just What I Wanted!
After looking at various sites and stores for something a bit different, I found just what I wanted! Once the shades arrived, I couldn't decide whether to put them in the sunroom as originally planned or my bedroom, so I ordered a second set. They are perfect in each room. They are opaque rather than sheer and not fragile as I thought they might be. The rice paper and the bamboo ribbing create a really unique look. They were also easy to install - I did it myself! (The instructions, though, seemed to show them being hung upside down!)

once installed the shade is fine. Installing was very difficult for a large man with big hands.
