I am very pleased with this purchase. It met my expectations and more ? not "high end" and not priced as such. It really adds warmth to the room!

The fabric texture and feel is similar to a burlap sack, and color is pretty accurate to the online picture. There is a small 1 inch thick piece of wood that extends the length of the shade on top that the fabric is STAPLED to- which is the piece you mount in the window frame. A 6" strip of fabric flips over the wooden piece to act as the valance. The visible staples should have been my first clue that this was NOT a quality product. The photo and description state roman shade, however, when you raise the shade, it stacks in the back, so the folds are not visible from the front and it just looks flat. Also, there are two strings that run down the back center that help to guide the folds, but these are connected with those plastic tags that come attached to new clothing (sorry, don't know what those are called exactly). AND- the plastic piece is visible from the front every fold (2 tags side by side, every foot or so down the front). They are the clear ones so you don't notice them at first, but once you do it's rather odd and leaves it looking unfinished. At first I thought they were temporary, but my mom was helping me hold them up and noticed that these were what was keeping the shade together. Lastly, I only opened and closed the shade twice, and I thought I might break it both times, as it is very flimsy. If you're looking for a temporary shade, this would be fine, but I fear it is not one that will hold the test of time. Fully lowered, it has an opaque sheer- you can see the images outside of your window (trees, backyard, etc.) I liked that look since I wanted to still see my view while still offering shade from the sun, but the poor quality couldn't make up for that one positive. I would stay away from this shade. Either way, you get what you pay for...Buyer beware.

The blind I ordered arrived with a broken header, but I would have returned it anyway. The fabric was terribly wrinkled and cheap--almost like burlap, The wooden header was made of particle board like substance that would not hold up even to shipping, apparently. The sides were not finished at all and were unraveling.

We purchased 8 of these shades for our home office that has windows on three of four sides to block sun and add privacy. We looked at the big catalog S & N and actually had a representative price out shades. Well... these shades are just as good and cost 20% of the quote we received! They were easy to install and we like the wood ends on the cord pulls. No complaints here. Buy these and your friends will think you paid five times as much. Color is a neutral shade which works almost anywhere.
