I have eight (8) of the Kyoto blinds, and four (4) of the rice paper blinds made by the same company.Purchased two years ago. They really aren't raised/lowered very often, but about 6 months ago I noticed the plastic rings on the back of the blind (which hold the cords in place for raising and lowering) are breaking. I bought these because I liked them, but also because they were so affordable for large windows. Price is good, and they look good, but only if you are prepared to repair them yourself, or replace after a year or year and 6 months, possibly sooner if they are raised/lowered often. I guess you get what you pay for, right?

The stripes on this shade are cutoff, in other words, the stripe on the valence portion runs off and is uneven.
I love these shades! The are sophisticated and casual at the same time! They would go with many types of different decor. I used mine in my home office and they look great!
I love these window coverings. They look great and work well. They also keep the cold out.
