they aren't dishwasher safe! I just got these, and will likely return them due to the fact that they are NOT dishwasher safe and that was one of the main reasons I purchased. The description says dishwasher safe, hand wash recommended...what the brochure says is that they CANNOT GO IN THE DISHWASHER! In addition to hand washing, they recommend you dry them immediately. This is quite a difference. They appear to be decent quality for the price otherwise. The block is nice, but if you like perfect looking wood, there are some variations in the wood grain. I didn't mind them myself.
