Excellent Knives at Excellent Price
I first became of Chicago Cutlery through an article in Consumer Reports. I purchased a set for myself and subsequently a set for my Mom and my Sister. These are excellent quality and I have had my set for about 7 years and they are still excellent. This is a product that is worth the money.

Chicago Cutlery 15 piece Knife block
For the price, these knives are wonderful! I am very pleased and still can't believe how inexpensive they were. They were delivered quickly. They are all very sharp and there is a good assortment of knives for all jobs. I use them daily.

My wife likes them.
We ordered the Ginsu knife set and tried to cut some bread and found out quickly they weren't sharp as advertized. I did some research and when these came on sale decided to try them out. They are very sharp and thin. My wife likes them. That alone should be a great endorsement.

Great set for the family
While this is not the top of the line set by Chicago Cutlery, it is a great value for the price. The knives are heavier than most basic knife sets. The blades are sharp and they are well balanced. I would recommend the set to anyone who cannot afford to spend the money needed for the professional sets.

Nice Knives
These knives are nice. They are not as heavy as I would like them, but they are definitely good knives. I would recommend them to a friend as a good set of knives.

Mediocre - required sharpening
The knife block appeared rather unfinished - like it would require sanding/smoothing. Tested 4 knives and all would definitely require sharpening (couldn't make it through a tomato without tearing). Might be fine after sharpening but I didn't want to deal with that. I returned them.

Good for the price
I like these knives after replacing an old set of wustof's. The block is nice and it's interesting how they all sit sideways but being a perfectionist, I have to think before I put each curved handle back in and some are facing the other direction. They are very very sharp from the get go and I"m hoping that they'll retain that without too much maintenance. Price was right. I'm not looking for them to last forever but I'm hoping that they'll be good transitional knives until I can afford the "dream" set. Some of the knives in the center seem a bit redundant--I'm not sure that they're all useful.
