Dangerously dull! These knives were bought for a vacation home. I assumed they do the job for the limited time we use them. Within the first week, one of the knives slipped awkwardly through a onion and took off the tip of my thumb. The knives are also horrible quality. One of the knives blade is actually cracked on top as well. These are very unsafe and I will be buying new ones.

Great set for the family While this is not the top of the line set by Chicago Cutlery, it is a great value for the price. The knives are heavier than most basic knife sets. The blades are sharp and they are well balanced. I would recommend the set to anyone who cannot afford to spend the money needed for the professional sets.

There was a mistake in the knifes sent and because my son didn't know he threw the box away he did not get the Six (6) serrated steak knives One (1) 7-inch santoku knife He received 2 utility knifes.

I have had this set for a couple of years. Some of the steak knives now have pittings where the "stainless steel" has worn away. Several knives have discolorations on the stainless steel which should not occur on stainless steel.
