I thought it was a little pricy, but love it so much. I display dvds in some of the cubbies and collectibles in the others. I have recieved many compliments... I would like to purchase another for the bedroom. My husband is a Mr. "Fix-it" type and so assembly was not too difficult. It would have taken hours if it had been just me. : )

Lovely piece once its assembled however the foam packing had broken and it was an absolute nightmare trying to clean up all of the mini foam balls that stuck to anything they came in contact with. The package was also missing the hardware. Overstock replaced it with no hassle but we did have to wait an extra week for the hardware to arrive after we received the shelf.

Bought this for a music room. First of all, received really bashed up box and couldn't imagine that anything in it could survive!! Surprisingly, it was well packed and everything was okay, except the part packed in the very middle, which should have been the most protected! It was a shelf broken in two. I called and a VERY nice woman said they'd ship me another shelf. Took about a week. The instructions are REALLY lacking. The top, the bottom and the feet are solid wood (and quite nice), the rest is pressboard and pretty fragile. Don't push too hard on anything to get it to go where you want it to! I advise laying it all out as it is to be assembled before beginning. One shelf has 3 holes in a section and you need to get it in the right order in the shelving or the holes won't match. There were a few dings here and there, and the finish scratches easily. I wouldn't pay even half of what I got this on sale for, especially considering I had to assemble it!! It looks fairly nice when finished, but still not worth what I paid. I really wish it had been all wood - better value to dollar. Well, except for the assembly part..... The size is nice, as it will fit in a small space, and still hold a lot of CDs.

This shelf looks very nice in my living room. It really wasn't difficult to put together although it would have been much easier with 2 people. Be forewarned, this is not all solid wood; only the top and bottom are, the rest is particle board with a veneer. When assembling it, one of the shelves splintered. Overstock customer service was very helpful in getting me a replacement.

By far the best looking dvd storage shelf I have found (and I looked for about 6 months before deciding to purchase this particular one). True, the wood splinters if you arent careful and the holes arent aligned exactly perfectly, but neither of those things can be seen from the front anyway, and if you are careful you won't have a problem with assembly. It looks absolutely stunning and I would pay full price for this. Im thinking about buying another....

I love this storage shelf! It is real piece of furniture and it was exactly what was advertised. I use it for CD storage and small collectibles. Value for the price was very good and better than expected. If I run out of room, I would consider buying another one just like it.

I have looked everywhere for just such a peice of furniture to hold my dvd's. I was impressed on the appearance in the picture, but the reviews saying it was easy to assemble sold me on it. I purchased two cabinets had both put together by myself in about 45 min. This is a great buy! don't hesitate you will love it. You can't beat the price I am buying a third one. Just what I was looking for. Very nice quality.

I needed a smaller book case for my living room and to hold DVDs and paperbacks. When the box arrived it was terribly beat up, but the outside damage did not affect the contents. Total assembly time was around 1 hour... and well worth it. A nice sturdy piece, (also includes wall braces which I would recommend installing for those of you with small kiddos that like to climb) this holds every DVD, paperback, and knicknack I have that needed a home with room to spare. Heavy wood with nice dark stain as shown in photos.

My shelves look very nice in my office but don't plan on putting anything in the cubby holes other than small decorative items or CDs. You can put notebook binders, books on the very top. Also, when you put it together, the wood tends to splinter. I purchased both during a special discount promotion, so I don't regret purchasing them, but for the regular price, I would think twice.

This is a nice piece of furniture for the money. It looks expensive and it provides tons of storage. It was easy to put together and looks great. There were a couple of small nicks in the finish, but nothing major.

I purchased two of these. They came in fine condition. The color was what I expected. The first took a little longer to put together than the second but neither was hard. For the price the product is nicely made. Would recommend this to anyone to purchase.

Easy to assemble (with some patience!) Looks great, a definite buy for the bucks. If you're thinking about getting it, don't hesitate. Well worth it!!

I actually looked for a nice media storage unit for probably a year before finding this. I'm really glad I did. Compared to the price of bookshelves with the same look it's a great buy with games/dvds fitting better. It was larger (taller) than I expeced but holds a lot of games. When I first got it the top and bottom parts had white cracks in them but Overstock was great, quickly shipping out replacement parts. The color of mine is nice darker cherry. Putting it together took maybe 2-3 hours without any problems. It's much easier with a second person if just to help lift and move segments while assembling. If I had a larger apartment I'd buy another one to hold dvds. With the low shipping it's worth buying from Overstock.

The DVD holder is great. Holds 260 DVDs not 280. It goes so nice with another piece of our furniture that was much more expensive. It looks like it was part of the more expensive furniture line. We did not attach it to a wall it seems sturdy enough, but we have it on a wood floor not carpeting. I love this piece, thinking about getting another one.

The quality isn't quite worth the $. The packageing is such a mess it will take atleast a half hour to just clean that up. Also when you screw in the fasteners if you try to secure it to tightly the wood chips. Overal it does the job.

This is a great scaled down shelf to display my collection of miniatures. The quality and workmanship of the bookcase/DVD shelf is much better than I had expected for the price! Assembly directions were clear. Each piece was individually marked with a sticker. Appearance is rated 4 stars, not 5, because the stickers are hard to remove. Otherwise, an excellent piece for the money!

I have bought a fair amount of furniture from overstock and have received some very nice pieces of furniture for what I would consider a good value. I have the Axium bedroom set and it is very high quality furniture with a rich and expensive look. This piece is nothing like it. This bookshelf was fairly simple to put together and looks ok once put together, but it's just cheap looking. The vaneer shelves are obviously lower quality vaneer. The color is pretty and is darker than the picture shows. This is actually good news for me since I have a dark espresso theme going in my bedroom. It matches quite nicely. I just expected a little more solid piece for the price. When put together, the shelf is kind of wobbly. If you do choose to get this piece please note when you put it together that there are 2 sizes of cam locks. The large ones DO NOT go in the middle shelf and you will bust right through the vaneer if you attempt to do so. I learned this the hard way. Fortunately overstock customer service is great and they are sending me a replacement shelf no problem. The instructions are not very clear and it's basically a piece together by picture only. I have lots of experience of putting together furniture and these are by far the worst instructions I've come accross. If this piece were priced about half of what it is sold for, I'd recommend it. It looks ok, and will be a functional piece of furniture to hold all my media. However, the value is not there for the price.

I ordered two of these because my CD and DVD collection was outgrowing their prior bookshelf. I wanted something that looked nice, was especially made for media storage, and had good capacity. Not easy to find! I really love these media shelves. They were fairly easy to put together, although each one took about 3 hours. Some of this time included cleaning up all of the zillions of tiny styrofoam pieces that were clinging to the shelves and my carpet. They look great, are very sturdy, and the small shelves are great for organizing a media collection. I highly recommend this media storage shelf!
