This clock has great time but it was advertised as a having Westminster Chime. You can hardly hear the on the hour chime. Most chiming clocks give a quarter hour. This one does not.The batteries do not fit either. It says AA but they do not fit. AA's are too long and can only fit in at an angle.

I am hard of hearing, but communicate well with most people. I cannot hear the chimes, my wife can,. and this leaves me disseminated. I do not want to return the item, just wish it were louder.The appearance of the item and its obvious good workmanship are quite noticeable.

I bought this clock to replace a dated floor clock in my living room. I read the reviews which were so-so but I thought I would buy it anyway because I liked it and the price was right. It arrived with just the box wrapped in bubble wrap. When I opened it, the top "curl" was broken off, as was the case with a few other reviews. I was going to send it back but since it was a clean break, I glued it with some wood glue. The clock is now up on my living room wall and I have to say I do love it. It keeps accurate time and the chimes aren't too loud. I didn't have any trouble setting the chimes timer or the clock itself. I like that it doesn't chime at night. You can't even see where the broken piece was, it glued up perfectly. I do think it should've been shipped wrapped in bubble wrap and then put into another box for extra protection. The back of the clock could also fit in a little more snug, but it's ok once it's on the wall. I would recommend this clock, all in all, it is very pretty, despite the few minor flaws I mentioned. You get what you pay for, and the price certainly was budget friendly.

I originally gave this clock an excellent review, but its been a few weeks and I feel I need to make another review. It keeps great time, but now the chimes are off. I fixed them to the right time and it only lasted a few days and was off again. So if you are wanting to buy this for the chimes, I probably would not.

This wall clock looks great on the wall. My only problem is the chime should be louder, but once you know it is there {the wall clock}you can hear the chime even though it is low. The backing of the wall clock could be more of a snug fit but otherwise the clock is fine. I look at the clock daily not for the time but because it is nice to look at.

Came apart during unpacking, one of the wood pieces was improperly glued. I glued it back on. It looksgood, and it was easy to put together, so I gave it good marks for that, but otherwise I would say Iexpected it to be a cheap stopgap to getting a real (and expensive) clock, and it was even cheaperthan I thought. I have replaced it already.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter's boyfriend. He wanted a wall clock that would chime. He loves grandfather clocks, but there wasn't room for one.He loved it! One great feature is that it doesn't chime during night hours when everyone is sleeping.

We are very pleased with this clock. The chimes are wonderful every hour till 11PM when it is silent until morning. The finish and craftsmanship look great. The picture appears to be right on as far as color. You should not be disappointed with this choice.

Nice clock, keeps perfect time, chime is very quiet and hard to hear unless you are right next to the clock. There is no setting to allow it to play at night which I prefer. I liked my old clock better :>(

Nice but cheaply made. If I was to reccomend this product to someone, I would have to tell them that it is cheaply made, but nice.

It adds such ambiance to our living room. Love the softness of the chime!
