Product Reviews for:
4.2 out of 5This is a nice set for the money. The mix of eastern and western shapes gives you a knife for any job. The knives are well designed (for example, the chef knife is stiff with a thick spine, the utility knife is stiff with a thin spine, the boning knife is flexible with a thin spine). The steel is adequate: x35 CrMo13 at 52 Rc. They take a much better edge than the 420 stainless you usually see at this price, but you'll need to buy a good knife sharpener to maintain them. The handles and balance are very good, but the finishing on the blades is a little rough. For home use you can buy the Wushof 17 slot knife block which stores this set perfectly, or a knife storage drawer.
these knives cant even cut threw a tomato skin!! I was very disappointed. Don't waste your money on these!
Not as sharp as expected from reading previous reviews one of knives has what appears to be a rust stain and I have only used the knife maybe 4-5 times, but for the price and the the various knives it is a good product if you have to travel to do any catering.
After a few weeks of use the knives will not take an edge. It is impossible to sharpen the blades and it was a waste of money.
An excellent set of travel knives, these end the issue of landing in a kitchen that is ill-equipped with cooking knives. The carry bag fits neatly in any suitcase, as checked luggage only, ofcourse, and is convenient and usable as primary knives at home. The only con is the elastic band that helps keep them in place in the carry-bag get sliced through from the sharp edge of the knives. I can certainly live with that, especially at the price.
These knives are excellent for the price and yes, very sharp. As with the other reviews, the case straps did get cut, but they still stay put in the case and not that big a deal. Nice feel to them as well.
knives will suffice case came damaged O corrected the problem quickly.the knives come in the carrying case and the blades cut thru the bands thats hold the knives in place.the knives themselves, are VERY decent for the price.
We bought a set for a want to be chef friend, it looked so nice we bought another for our daughter. We haven't had a chance to use them yet but we pulled them out to look at them and made our decision about buying another one then.
These knives are so very nice - clean looking, neat presentation...... but most important, there cut magnificiently easily. Having rheumatoid arthritis makes gripping, and exerting pressure difficult in general, But with these knives, chopping and slicing is quite easy and painless. Would highly recommend to everyone.
This knife set is very well made and look beautiful. I have small hands and most knives don't fit well into them and these were easy to use. These knives cut through anything with ease, not much pressure needed at all. I recommend these highly. They are a wonderful value for the price.
These knives look great and are very sharp and are comfortable to use.
Knifes are well balanced and hold an edge wellI have had several folks ask about where to get them when using them at shows ,demos and functionsGreat grab and go set for catering and speicial events
The Chef Knife set is for Professional, as well as amatuer chefs, such as myself I've used my Chef Knife many times already, and when cutting through raw meat, it's like a hot knife cutting through butter. So nice, so easy. There was no resistence from the meat. It's like the knife was gliding though the meat. Not that I would ever do it, but I bet I could shave with the edge of either one of the knifes, they are that sharp. The handles and the blades are all one piece, and it's like the knifes are molded and fit to one's own hand. The weight of the knives are just right. Not too light, and nowhere being too heavy. The satchel makes taking this knife set with you so easy. I will be taking my knife set with me on a few chili cookoffs I'm competing in. The knife set, with carry satchel would be a great buy
This is a great set of knives. Very complete kit everything you'll need. A quick sharpening right out of the box and they're good to go. My one and only downside is the steel has a screw in shaft not one solid piece, mines does not screw in securely and wobbles. Over all this is a great set, the carrying case is great if you have room mates who don't really cook and may have damaged some of your other knives like I do.
Great knife set for the at home amature chef. Light weight, easy clean and stainless steel just what you need...!
I really liked the knives. The case is a bit bulky compared to other sets of chef knives I have seen in the past, and the knives will need to be sharpened when you get them. Overall a nice product though.
These knives work well for us - husband and I are just starting out - but we hope to have some nicer ones in a few years. They were less sharp than expected, and the black design on the handles seems worn off in some spots. However, they are a great purchase for the price, not too heavy or unwieldy, and fit nicely in the hand. We have a magnetic strip above the countertop that holds them, and they look impressive when on display this way.
This set has a very attractive design that looks very similar the to Global knives I have seen. They are weighted nicely and easy to sharpen. The price was very reasonable and they look impressive. I have already use them to prepare a meal and had no issues while using them. I would recommend them.
These knives are awesome! Best set I've owned. Am planning on buying a set for my mother.
I gave this knife set to my mother for her birthday--she was in dire need for a new set, as she cooks very often and enjoys to cook. She absolutely loves the set, and has had no bad things to say about the knives. She loves the way they look as well as how well they work. She also said they are a very high quality, but do not weigh a lot, which is good on her wrists. The only downside is that they did not come with a block.
