This table is being used to display plants. It is quite attractive and promises to be quite useful.Persons designing the table apparently had specifications that required ease of manufacturing, shipment, and assembly. In addition, apparently, the table needed to be functionally strong with better than average utiliity. Most of all, the design suggests that the table required the beauty of fine furniture. Their solution was novel. The top appears to be manufactured assembled MDF, and the legs are completely metal. The legs are attached using hex head metal screw assemblies.Although a very attractive piece of furniture, I believe the product is a bit overpriced considering the way in which was manufactured.

The feature I like most is the checkerboard top. The lower shelf looks a little cheap. My daughter and I tried to assemble the table ourselves but had a lot of trouble with the lower shelf. After an hour of struggling with it we called my husband for help and he finally got the lower shelf attached but it wasn't easy for him either. I gave an overall rating of four stars because the top is really the selling point of this table.

This is a great table! It was very easy to assemble. I have it in my foyer so it is the first thing you see when you walk in and it looks beautiful. My house is very contemporary and it goes well. It was packaged very well and arrived within a few days. Not a scratch. I am very pleased! Great buy!

I really like the table, but "cast iron legs" means black. They looked almost bronze on my computer so I was a little disappointed that they are black but overall it is a very nice table for the price.

The table was so easy to put together and the quality was beyond our expectations. The price was most reasonable and I had shopped on-line and in stores for over a month.

This piece is a lovely addition to our living room. It was relatively easy to assemble, although we changed out the provided screws for longer ones. My husband didn't think the short screws would provide enough support.

I was looking for a table to sit in front of my double windows in my living room. This table is low enough so that it wouldn't rise above the window sill. Beautiful color and the construction is very sturdy. I put it together by myself in under an hour (while entertaining a 3 year old). Like other users have said, pay attention to the measurements. The color of the top was a bit darker than my monitor showed on the website, but that was a good surprise. I love buying furniture from o.co. I don't have to drag my 3 year old to the store and if I forget to measure where the piece of furniture is going I can do that while I'm shopping from home.

This table was purchased for use in our office foyer. The combination of wood top and metal legs blends well, and the etching/inlaid design on top is a nice touch.....

The checkerboard top makes the table look classy. There's lots of space for displaying items on the top, and adequate space underneath. It completes our living room! LOVE this table! It looks fantastic in my entryway and is much better quality than I expected. The base is iron and the parkay top looks great. The extra shelf below comes in handy for those pieces of pottery you never know where to display.

I ordered this table Tuesday evening and it was delivered to my house Friday afternoon. It took my husband approximately 30 minutes to put together. We love it and it looks great in our family room. This was my first purchase from Overstock. I've been shopping for a sofa table for a couple of months. This table looked perfect on the website. I received it in about 7-10 days and had it assembled in about 30 minutes. It was easy to assemble. All of the parts were included, didn't even need extra tools. The table looks perfect in the spot I had intended for it. Good deal.

I am happy with this table I purchased with one small issue-the wood checkerboard is darker than pictured so that's why I gave it 4 stars. It arrived with only very small imperfections that I can live with and is a good table for the price.

Love the table. It was exactly what we were looking for. After looking in several furniture stores, we came back to Overstock.com. Delivery was fast....about 5 days. Ist is heavy and well constructed, We will look at Overstock first the next time. Great products!
