The height ,size, and color of the lamp was exactly what I needed. The construction of the lamp is very poor. The center pole will not stay upright in the base. The lamp shade screws on crooked. Once you get it balanced, you can't turn the lamp on because it will go askew again.

I couldn't be more happy with my purchase -- got two for my fireplace mantel. They add a wonderful and romantic ambiance when lit with 25 watts light bulbs. I put 4 stars for value because I do think they are a little bit pricey. However, overall, I'm really satisfied with my Charleston lamps!
