I will admit after reading the reviews I was worried about ordering this sofa because of the difficulty others had putting it together. I am a senior citizen and didn't have any help and did it in about an hour and a half. I was lucky that the UPS man carried in the boxes because they were heavy. As others have said the sofa is firm but I think it is fairly comfortable. It is the perfect size for my condo and the color was just as shown in the picture. I also like the texture of the fabric. Overall, I am really pleased.

I absolutely love my new couch! The fabric is a beautiful color and this really interesting soft ribbed texture. Given its rigid sides and back, it is not uncomfortable as would be expected. The only complaint I could possibly have is about the padding on the seat. It tends to collapse a bit after sitting in the same area.

Cool couch...more for decor than comfort. I'm a single, but an able bodied woman & i put this together by MYSELF in a lil over an hour. Initially the couch is super hard to sit on, but softens up over time. It's not the kind of couch for lounging or cuddling because its kind of small & hard, but it looks great & if it's for a spare room that you dont use everyday...it's perfect.

I am a very, very picky person. I started looking for a sofa for my mini great room (my small formal living room), a year ago. Nothing was the right size, color, or price. I needed something that looked expensive, but wasn't, was a dark enough color to mask dog dirt stains but light enough to pop on my espresso colored floors, that would fit the confinements of my space, as well as compliment my modern/antique/glamour style. The charcoal cape sofa was perfect! I measured out the sofa with painters tape along the floor and wall, so I knew the size was perfect for me. The color is a lovely warm gray shade as well. It is a stiff couch, however that is what I wanted for my formal room. I personally think it is fairly nice to lay too. However I would not encourage children to jump on it or wrestle on it. I do not think it is built to handle that type of stress. Assembly was a snap! My boyfriend and I assembled it in about 30 minutes, including the unpacking process. The sofa was delivered right on time, undamaged, and with all the necessary pieces. This is my FIRST Overstock purchase, and I am utterly thrilled with my experience! I am already making my wishlist for what to purchase next.

The bad news: everything that has already been written about putting this sofa together is true. So prepare yourself! (Hence, I deducted one star) The good news: the struggle is worth it in the end. Once together I have nothing but good things to say about my purchase. I love the contemporary look which compliments other things I bough at Ikea wonderfully. The color of the fabric is lovely and I felt it was very accurately represented on the website. It is not a microfiber (which I hate) but rather has a texture that not only adds visual interest but it is impervious to dirt (which brushes or vaccuums right off) and my 6 month old puppy's claws. It is very firm, which I also like, but if you are into a marshmallow sofa, this is not for you. Pay attention to the dimensions- this is not a huge sofa. I am 5'6" and can lay comfortably on it but I doubt anyone taller would be able to. However, it fits beautifully in my smaller apartment and provides adequate seating without hogging up too much space. I think it goes without saying that this is not an heirloom piece of furnature. However, if you are looking for an attractive sofa for a smaller apartment or space, then look no further.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I ordered this sofa to go with my contemporary theme, but I regret it! It was a nightmare putting it together, the couch came in all separate pieces. The screws would not fit thru the holes properly since they weren't aligned properly when made. My husband had to buy different screws and try to rig it but I still don't feel comfortable sitting on it bc I'm afraid it'll collapse. The piece looks different in person, more like an olive gray than the picture. I was really disappointed buying this!!

The sofa is just the right fit for the space.I like the quality for the price.you must know that there is some assemble required.A power drill works better than doing it by hand.I must tell you that it comes it two big boxes that you will have to deal with.

I assembled the sofa by myself, Took about 45 minutes. All the tools needed come with the package which is really nice. The couch is very sturdy and looks really great! It has a very modern clean lined look which fits perfectly into my apartment. The cushions that come with the couch are also of good quality. Although the sofa is slightly firm, after sitting on it watching TV I actually fell asleep and napped for an hour! So it must be comfy! I am really happy with this purchase! I ordered the matching chair and they look great! It is a smaller couch so make sure you measure out the dimensions! But it will fit wonderfully in an apartment or smaller seating area!

The color was right on. The assembly was easy. Please note that this is a love seat sized sofa. In the back it velcros which is kind of odd and not what you'd expect. It looks stylish with clean lines. It sits very very firm. It looks very nice in my living room and will go with any color change I might decide to cook up because it's neurtral.

Nice piece for a small place, great color and easy to combine. Material looks really chip and the sofa seams that it will fall apart very soon. i had a little problem to assemble cause it was missing some part/ not a very comfortable piece either. i don't recommend if you want to put in a living room or in a place where you will use a lot. its a nice size and shape to accentuate your master bedroom and for aoccasional sitting.

This loveseat fit perfectly under our living room window. Its wide enough to hold 3 people who aren't afraid to be snug, but definitely roomy enough for 2 to lounge. Although the seat is very firm so not sure if "lounging" is really what you want to be doing on this sofa. It's a piece of furniture that is economical, modern looking and good for company to sit on and chat. My husband assembled this and took about 40 minutes. I helped a bit by pushing in the armrests to line up better with the holes. So if you work with another person to set it up, assembly isn't that bad. Everything was packaged well and no issues with scratches or anything like that. It was shipped super fast! I ordered on the 9th and it arrived on the 11th! Amazing! The color is grey, not too dark. I think the picture online is darker than in person. It even has a tint of brown, which works with our house since we have a dark espresso couch in the family room so when you look over to this area, you see this loveseat which complements the other areas of the house nicely.

I ordered this couch for a living room set up in a new office we have arranged as a loft apartment. I was looking for a couch with arms - a specific request from a coworker - that would fit in with an urban retro feel. We've had the couch for four months and it's holding up great. It works well for the occasional use it gets during meetings and for employees who want to work from the couch with a laptop for a few hours. The bolster pillows are more comfortable than I would have expected and also make for a nice armrest while seated. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the couch is an odd length which really only comfortably seats two adults rather than three. Otherwise this is a good couch for a smaller space.

This is exactly what I needed for my new apartment. It seems to be constructed very well for the money I spent. I actually put it together myself even though it says two people needed. I haven't found anything that I don't like about this product and I would highly recommend this to anyone with similar needs.
