We moved into our new home 18 months ago and, since then, I've been replacing most of the light fixtures as I think that's one of the best ways to update a home. We already have red pendant lights over the breakfast bar and a beige drum shade chandelier (overstock) over the dining room table, so I chose this for the kitchen prep space and we could not be happier. It has just the right amount of zing and fits in perfectly.

This light fixture is perfect for my office. The lights have good maneuverability, so that you can aim them at different corners of a smallish room (18' X 18 ') to spotlight a piece of art, curio shelf, or piece of furniture. The light is bright and clear, as these are halogen lights. This fixture is perfect for replacing an out-of-date overhead light (who likes those old things?) with something updated and interesting. It is not "mood lighting" so if you want a soft yellow light you don't want this fixture. It only takes halogen bulbs. I love it, because I wanted bright spots, and will not have the overhead light on all the time. I have two floor lamps in either corner that give soft yellow light. The metal is sturdy with a nice burnished bronze look.It is easy to install, and the instructions are great. Another great value from O.co!

This is a gorgeous fixture. I had been searching for the perfect chandelier for my 18 year old daughter's bedroom and this one fit the bill perfectly. Coupled with a dimmer, the perfect light for her room. She loves it! With such a beautiful room, it helps guarantee visits home from college!

There really is only one way to describe this chandelier... Stunning! We have 18' ceilings and my husband & I hung this up using scaffolding without any issues. With the two of us placing the individual balls on each chain, it went by fairly quickly. An amazing price for a gorgeous light.

The description states that the shade is off-white. It is definitely a light color, but is more of a cream. I almost sent it back as my walls in my den are a soft off-white. The light appeared to have a yellowy tint to it, but once up, it looks great. I love the modern/contemporary look of the light. Very stylish with the metal rims on the upper and lower part of the light. There's also a diffuser at the bottom as to not see the light bulbs. The metal on the light fixture is a champagne color. Pic of light on Overstock is very indicative of the actual light. The only draw-back on this light is where the shade connects at the back. It's been glued, but we just turned it away from company entering the room. A great price though. Our den is 18 x 22 and gives off plenty of light.

What a great find!! I have been looking for a large chandelier for our 2-story (18-foot) entryway for quite a while, but did not want to pay $400+ (which was the price for such a large light). I have been looking at this chandelier on Overstock for some time now, and after reading the great reviews I decided to take a chance. I am so happy that I did! It is perfect....and looks beautiful! My husband rented a 15-foot ladder and had the light installed in about an hour. Now I'm looking to Overstock for some flush-mount lights for the hallway!!

Haven't completed assembling the product yet. It is quite weird; you have to assemble this entire fixture, including doing some minor wiring! You'll need a screw driver, wire cutters, hex wrench, etc. I'd say the light looks great, but it is a monster to put together. But my other MAIN concern is the light is NOT the dimensions advertised, which is one of the main reasons why I returned another light and ordered this one instead. It's NOT 24" wide, which is what I wanted. It MAY be 18" wide at the longest point. And it's more like 16" high. For a large dining room with 10' ceilings, I wanted something more grand and large; this light looks good, but it NOT the size I needed it to be. Overall, disappointed in the fixture and frustrated with Overstock again.

For those of you who are wondering if this chandelier could be converted to a plug-in (swag light), I'm happy to report that the answer is YES! I picked up a swag light kit from Home Depot for about $12. It comes with a 18' chain, a 20' cord with switch, 2 ceiling hooks and mounting hardware. I attached the crystals (which all came in great condition, none missing, etc.), threaded the chandelier wire through the shade, cut the chandelier wires down to size and connected them to the wires on the swag light cord set, ignoring the grounding wire (none of the wires were color coded, so no need to worry about that). I then capped off the exposed wires with the wire nuts that came with the chandelier and finished it up with some electrical tape. This was a good time to test that my bulbs and sockets were working. I then threaded the cord set wire through the 18' chain and installed the ceiling hook with the help of a drill and the mounting hardware - didn't need a stud finder because the mounting hardware took care of that. I hung the chandelier up, plugged it in and voila! Success! A beautiful elegant chandelier converted to a swag light! By the way, the max wattage is 60, not 40W, and be very careful to screw in the bulbs "flush" into their sockets, so that they're not screwed in crooked, as chandelier lights can be fussy that way.

We received the Chrome and Black 6-light Crystal Chandelier with bated breath. We were a little shocked when we opened the box to realize the size of the chandelier. The shade, although only 18˝” diameter, is 12˝” tall – larger than we had expected; and with all the crystals, the chandelier is over 20” long. My only complaint is that there was some sort of glue or clear coat that had pooled on the chandelier and I had to chip it off. Also, please note that the shade is a series of strings and not a shear material. Looking at it now I can see that is clear, but didn’t at the time I ordered. Now that it is up in our hallway, we are so happy with the quality and our purchase.

When shopping for a chandelier, I knew my dining room did not warrant the "typical" fancy style, so I was thrilled to see this available on Overstock.com. It is dressy without being "over-the-top" and adds such a beautiful glow and ambiance. It was packaged extremely well and my 18 year old daughter had no problem installing it. For those of you who said it is a bit small, yes...it is a smaller scale. But I was not surprised because the dimensions are all there in the description. The fixture is solid and well built. When the lights are on, the sparkle of the crystals reflection on the surrounding walls is very pretty! You will not be disappointed :)

I bought two of these and had them hung on my 18 foot high Kitchen ceiling. I was able to have them pointed at my work area, sink, stove and dining area. I was thrilled at how much light there was! Only down side is that the included bulbs didn't last very long and since I didn't install the bulbs or keep the boxes, I have no idea what kind of bulb I need to buy to replace them. And I don't have a ladder high enough to get up there myself-but that's not the O's fault. I should've thought of that before the electriction left.

The light that arrived was actually MUCH prettier than the one shown on the web site, but not just because it is a bad picture, the fixture just insn't what is described/pictured. If you want a true straight drum, do not order this, you won't be getting what is in the picture! Here are the differences: 1) The shade is not a true perpendicular drum as pictured: the sides have some slope; 2) The finial that secures the diffuser is a little crystal knob, not just the silver fob as pictured; 3) finally, the size is different: the drum is only 16 inches across (not 18 as specified on the web site) and 8.5 tall.

This light fixture was just installed today in my 2-story foyer to replace the existing brass fixture. I bought this fixture bc of all the great reviews. I really wasn't too sure about ordering just from the picture, but the price was excellent. I am so thankful that I took the chance! A fixture like this easily sells for 5 times the Overstock price. The fixture also looks even BETTER in person. My foyer is now instantly updated with this beautiful fixture. I only wish that there was a smaller version that I could hang in my dining room! The size/scale of this light is perfect for a room with an 18 or 20 foot ceiling. Thank you, Overstock, for a great deal! Grab this chandelier while it is still in stock at an incredible price. You won't be sorry!

When the box arrive I prepared myself for how difficult it will be to put together this chandelier. I did not prepare for the mess it had created in my kitchen to assemble this crystals light together. The fish lines got tangle no matter how much I plan ahead to put it together. It took me three days to assemble, then the electrician lifted it to location 18 feet high and what I got was a blob of lights on my ceiling. I spent a day littlelrally hanging on the ladder untangle the mess of the fish line. With that I come to a conclusion.....install the base and assemble the rest mid air. Yes I am saying prepare yourself to live on a ladder a couple of days to get this item up. Once it's up....it's beautiful.

Fortunately, I'm all out of profane words for the year (used them all up putting in this light) so I'll keep this review G rated. We were excited to get this chandelier for our new home, as it looked like the right color/design for our dining room with high (18 ft) vaulted ceilings. We ordered this an another chandelier for the entry way, which btw went up in about 15 minutes. However, this light was an absolute nightmare to install. The instructions were useless, as the one page sheet seemed be a list of 6 unfinished statements. Although the height of our ceilings added to the degree of difficulty, the canopy and nipple set up for this light make it quite difficult to install. The paint from the canopy and canopy ring was literally rubbing off as I fumbled to try and get the wires connected. There were also several other places on the chandelier where the paint came off (this was also noted in the previous post). This fixture definitely requires two people to install. Also, be very careful when threading the chain to make sure the wire is straight and able to withstand a little twisting when you go to install the canopy ring. I had the wires from the ceiling fixture disconnect three times when twisting the canopy cover shut. The light looks great now that it's up, but we were seriously considering putting it back in the box and sending it back. Great light for the price...but be warned about installation issues.

I kept being drawn back to the picture of this fixture while looking for a new living room light for above my piano. I couldn't tell exactly what was going on in the pictured but after reading all the reviews and wanting something really glam and modern, I decided to go for it. I am SO HAPPY I did! It looks perfect. It's really truly sparkly and gorgeous in person. The rounded shade has black (silk?) thread wrapped around the metal circle at bottom and top. There's a little gap every few inches where a strand of crystals hang. At the top (inside, flush with the ceiling) it takes 5 G9 Halogen bulbs - be warned, these were a little tricky to find and about $8 each but also, very worth it because it makes for a cool light. Also inside at the top, there are 18 hanging strands of crystal with a ball attached to the bottom of each. When you get it all together, it casts a very cool shadow around the top of the walls around the room, and a really neat pattern on the ceiling above. It's hard to really describe but if you want something blingy, cool and different, check your measurements to make sure it will fit well and go for it!

This chandelier is just as it is pictured only think BIGGER. We have hung this up at the top of our staircase (approx 15 ft sloped ceiling at the top) and while it's a nice statement, it's matte black finish, overall length, and the output of light has this light feeling pretty massive. Also, there are NO INSTRUCTIONS and while it is fairly common sense to piece together, at 15 feet midair, this was not an east install for him. It took only a half of an hour, but required two sets of hands. I would only recommend this if you have a high ceiling, a need for LOTS of light, and you are looking for something large scale.
