Love this light. It's just the right size for my daughter's dining room (10 x 13). Even better than the photo. Her handyman installed the light - so I am guessing he didn't have a problem because he didn't mention anything to me. You will not be disappointed.

This light is just like the one on display at Pottery Barn. The 13" light at pottery barn is going for $399.00 per light!! I went onto this website and it was 1/3 the price! I was nervous it would look like it was cheap quality because the price was so much lower. But when it delivered - you cannot tell the difference. It was worth saving the $500 - that's for sure! Now I was able to buy my carpet with that money :)

This is well worth the money. I had an out dated and way too big 13 lights chandelier for my dining room. This was the perfect fit. Much smaller with 5 lights. You have to put it together and its easy all except the crystal globes you have to attach alittle difficult. I'd buy it again.

Wow, this is a beautiful pendant! The different crystals on the bottom edge just set it apart from all the other ones I've seen on other websites. A little on the pricer side, but looks like it will be worth it when we get it installed later today! Can't wait to see it sparkling with the lights on or off. We are hanging this in the "water closet" of the master bathroom in our house. (Updating all the 13 yr. old brass fixtures from builder.)

Great item. Modern but classy. Shade does have a subtle "shimmer to it in the fabric, but is pretty. I used it in a bedroom that is 13 by 14 feet and seems to be a good side. If the bedroom was any larger, I probably would have wanted something larger. My dad easily installed it for me and he liked it so much, I sent him one for Fathers Day for their guest bedroom as well. Provides ample light and it beautiful when lit.

Instead of a flush mount light I put this in my daughters bedroom. It was a little larger then I thought but is perfect (she has a 12 by 13 room). It looks gorgeous and leaves shadows on the wall. My daughter loves it, she's almost 3 but 8 1/2 year old really loved it!

The Maria Theresa 6 light Crystal Chandelier looks terrific once you finally get it assembled. We decided not to go the frustration route that we went through with another chandelier that we ordered so we hired an electrician to assemble and put our light fixture together and now we really love it. The finishing of this one compared to the Maria Theresa 13-light Chandelier is so much more superior. Chrome caps, much more expensive looking crystals and it has an overall LUXE feeling to it.

Purchased for a smallish dining room w/8 ft ceiling. It works beautifully as it is really compact. The color is mostly black with some bronzing on the edges of the arms. It is very classy looking. Be aware however that if you use regular light bulbs or small compact flourescents you can see the bulbs over the top of the frosted glass bowls. Even w/a 13 watt fluorescent-fairly small-you can still see a bit of the bulb. If using the flame type bulbs recommended then I believe they would be hidden but I prefer using a compact fluorescent for the energy savings. With 4 13 watt flourescents it gives off plenty of light and I don't mind that you can see just a bit of the bulb over the top. I was really concerned about it being too large but in actuality it could have even been a bit larger and still looked ok in the space. Ours is hung just 6-7 inches from the ceiling so we cut off a portion of the chain. Easy to install.

I used this for my bedroom which is 13' x 15' and the chandelier was perfect for the scale of the room! It was very easy to install and I like that the crystals were already assembled and I didn't have to do that. It comes with a cord plug so you can either use with the cord, or cut and connect to your ceiling fixture. I used candle tip frosted light bulbs because it had a little bit more contrast against the crystals. I first used clear ones, but then changed to the frosted ones. I'm very happy with my purchase and love looking at the beautiful chandelier as it matches perfectly with my bedroom decor... now I feel like I sleep in a bed and breakfast daily!

I just installed this fixture above my counter height dining room table. Initially I was concerned that this light would come down too far from the ceiling for the height of the table. I did not use the rods and mounted this as close to the ceiling as possible. It hangs 4" from the ceiling...the dimensions given for the shade are correct, therefore the bottoom of the shade hangs 13" from the ceiling if you choose not to use the rods. The light cast (if using soft light 60w bulbs) is a soft glow that casts enough light for the room. The shade is white but appears beige when lit. Also I see where some choose to paint this light. I was planning on painting brown but there would be no discernable difference. The seam where the metal comes together is almost impossible to detect. This is a beautiful peice and well worth the cost. It does not come with directions but installation is so simple one does not need.......Thanks O for the deal!

What a stunning Light fixture, I took into consideration all of the reviews and even though some people has small complaints overall everyone seems happy. For the value this fixture I have seen elsewhere for 3x, 4x, even 15x the price. For the value it can not be beat, this is me 3rd chandelier purchase in a month! Great deal the crystal are great, once my neighbor hung the frame I put the crystals on in 5 minutes they drape over the bar rather easily. To answer your QUESTION below the crystals are about 7-9 inches long depending how you drape them, overall the closest to the ceiling I would say is about 10-13 inches. Happy holidays ya'll!

I am so in love with this chandelier! I first bought two, one for each of my spare bedrooms then decided I to buy two more for my large walk-in master closet. They are so beautiful! I have 8 foot ceilings, average to small sized bedrooms and a 8 x 13 size closet. They are just the right size and look outstanding in all 3 rooms. I read a lot of reviews saying they did not put the crystals on the bottom tier, which I tried but since I could see the light bulb, decided to take off the long part of the crystal and only hang the round portion. They look very high end and I couldn't be happier with them. Don't hesitate to buy them.

I bought this pendant for the front porch of the house I recently purchased, replacing a 1996-era fixture. I just love the classic bell-glass shape of my new fixture, and the larger size is more proportionate to the porch leading to my front door. Installation needs to be done by someone who can work with hardwiring, which in my case was my son-in-law. The glass has a vintage look to it, having some tiny bubbles and opaqueness to it. I'm using a round 13-watt LED bulb, which gives out plenty of light and looks very welcoming from the street. I'd say my small investment into this fixture has definitely upgraded the front of my house!

Arrived quickly, but dimensions are grossly incorrect. This light is only 5.5 inches high, not 13 inches as described. Kept it anyway because sending back was too much of a hassle. Overall design is nice, but not great execution. Metal is not shiny chrome, but sprayed on powder silver paint. Certain parts chipped already and the metal rim is not smooth in certain parts. Also the top cover that attaches to the ceiling is ornate and antique looking and is in sharp contrast to the overall modern feel of the pendant. This has to be hung above eye level otherwise you can see the lightbulbs and requires two people to install because of the weight of the product. The wood shade gives a nice glow when lite. Not perfect, but the real deal would cost at 3 times more.

I purchased this fixture to replace a very standard semi-flush fixture in a foyer with an 8 foot ceiling. This is not a subtle fixture - it draws your eye and looks very nice. It comes with different rods to allow you to hang it at different heights. I didn't use a rod in order to keep it as close to the ceiling as possible and the bottom is still about 13 inches down. If you want something to blend in unnoticed and just produce light this isn't for you. I really like the effect and have gotten many compliments. I received it within a week after ordering and it was very easy to install. I would recommend it if you are looking for something a little different and casual.

Love the light. I used it without any of the extender rods, just with the small piece that extends down from the canopy, for a total of 13" high, not too high for my 8-foot ceilings. It's definitely a strong light, draws attention to itself. But I wanted something definitive on the ceiling to balance all the busyness of our TV/computer area. Love the colors, which go well with our overall color scheme of maple, tans, browns and blacks. Also like the nickel finish and the clean lines. The fixture looks and feels like it's good quality, well-made. Perfect for a contemporary ranch house, matches a decor that contains a lot of natural light and natural materials. Too bad they're sold out! Originally I thought I'd buy a second to put in another area of our great room, but now that it's up I think two would be too much for our modest-sized house.

I am so sad that this light fixture didn't work out for us. I read all of the reviews and was so excited when it arrived. Just as another customer reviewed(which is new since my purchase), the middle rod that holds the lights/wiring is too short. It doesn't fit in the box frame as pictured. I kept looking for an extension, but there doesn't seem to be one. When I put it together the bottom of the rod ends up about mid-height in the center of the box and that puts the lightbulbs up into the "roof" portion of the light---nothing like every angle of the picture I've seen and not even like the diagram in the box it came with! I'm so disappointed in this product. I contacted the manufacturer and overstock. I was sent a replacement. HOWEVER, the replacement arrived today and it is no different from the original fixture I ordered. Both of them are going back and I'm going to have to find another product---I really wish there was a way they could've gotten it right. Did any other reviewers have this problem? I am so surprised by all the positive reviews if they are receiving the same product I am. For reference, the center rod from base to top is 13" long on my 2 products.

I am very happy with my purchase. The chandelier feels larger in person than it's measurements suggest, I think because the shades add a bit of bulk to the chandelier. I actually really liked that aspect, since I was worried it would be too small for our 13'x13' dining room. There were slight imperfections in one of the shades (part of the threading in the shade) that was highly visible when the lights were turned on. However, we just turned it to the side facing away from the entryways. The one negative is that the instructions are VERY vague about how to wire the arms to the base of the chandelier. My husband and I are very handy and it took both of us about 1.5 hours just to assemble the chandelier. It's definitely a two-person job unless you're a professional. We were also trying to be very careful about scratching the chrome. Hanging it was easy if you have experience putting any light fixture up. All in all, if you're looking for a contemporary/glamorous update to your room, I would definitely recommend this!

This is a product that I mulled over a while. Our home came with a builders grade chandelier and while it suits the room we just didn't feel that it gave it that wow factor. This chandelier looks AMAZING. like the other product that I've purchased on overstock my husband and i really paid attention to the reviews. They're pretty accurate. it's a beautiful piece. the negative things that i read online seem to have been either addressed or was customer specific. 1:we read that The shade can look a little yellow with the lights on but we found that changing to the LED lights resolves that . 2: we read that the hanging crystals were acryllic but ours are actually glass and they gave us PLENTY of extra pieces and little gloves to polish them. (nice touch) 3: we also read that the chandelier didn't hang low enough in rooms with high ceilings....ours are 13 feet and the level is perfect. 4: the last thing we read (and this was SO TRUE) was that the instructions were AWFUL. they're almost non-exsistent. i'm not sure if we didn't get the instructions put in the box or if they just figured we knew what we were doing. My dad installed it for us and luckily he's pretty handy but if it weren't for him we definitely would have had to hire someone. that is actually our only complaint everything else is just lovely

I watched as my master electrician put this in. I really liked the overall shape, which is why I bought it. I was looking for something mid-century modern or hollywood regency for my entryway. Only problem is, I have a shorter ceiling there. My electrician used the shortest rod and made it work. It comes with three rods of varying lengths that you can apparently put together and make a longer one. I have to admit, if I didn't have to worry about door clearance (the previous light was almost flush) I'd have definitely gone for the longer rods, as that adds more drama. But the benefit is, it fit in my space - and I needed a flush or semi-flush light. So those of you without 13" ceilings, don't worry. Here's a few problems I ran across: 1) My electrician stated that the interior metal fittings of the light are rather flimsy. Where that shows up is that the light moves a little easier than it should. I am a bit worried it will come down. 2) When you get the light, go ahead and open it up, get out one globe, and take it with you when hunting for bulbs. A regular bulb won't really fit. The best fit we found was with a non-CFL ceiling fan bulb @ 40 watts each. Remember: there's NINE globes (plus a tenth extra, which due to the way they're mounted, you will definitely need down the road.) 3) By far, my major concern is the way the globes are mounted. The wires holding them in show through the glass no matter how you try to mount them. That's the main reason I give it four stars - great design, but if you are looking for it to be exactly like the picture, you'll be disappointed. Also, I am worried about the durability due to its flimsy workmanship. It does look great...for now. One note: I did install a dimmer for this light, and it really functions much better that way, but CFL's aren't really dimmable (very disappointing), and due to the opening of the globe, your bulb choices are limited at best.
