Champion 4000 watt generator
Great little generator and pretty quiet too. Lightweight and perfect for dry camping.

Champion Generator- not bad
We were looking for a low cost generator as a spare back up for a much larger generator because we discovered during the hurricane that generators are not very reliable. We got the generator within two days which is exceptional. Fired it up and compared to other generators it is very quiet, put the voltmeter on it and it put out 125V under load. For the price it is a good value, but it is not a heavy duty generator and is built to be a light duty occasional use and is not for more than 1 refrigerator, couple lights and a tv. Also put about a quart of gas in the generator to test it out and it ran well over a half hour so it would appear to be efficient.

Bought this after Hurricane Irene.
Purchased this after going without power for Hurricane Irene. Took it out for Storm Albert. Fired up on the third pull and have been running it non stop for five days now. Powers my fridge, or furnace, some lights etc. You need to run only a few things at at time since its only a 3500 but more then enough to do my fridge and freezer and some lights at the same time or the furnace and some lights. Change the oil every four days for good maintenance and you are good to go. Also, surprised on the gas consumption. I run it about 12 hours on a 4 gallon tank which I think is pretty good. No getting up in the middle of the night to refuel. Pretty happy with it although, I wish I went a little bigger. As for Overstock. Great price and free shipping made it a deal. Still now power after 5 days but this little engine that could has made it tolerable.

Great RV generator for the money
Bought this generator for use on my toy-hauler to run the 13.5K AC and it worked great! I had a small problem when I first ran it but only because I forgot to switch the fridge from automatic to gas only so the fuse on the generator popped with the combination of the fridge, ac and inverter/converter, but after that it ran the air for several hours without problem in 90+ degree desert heat and helped get my trailer to freezing 68 degree's. It was a lot quieter than I thought it would be its not a *** or *** but at 1/5 the price what can you expect, plus it sure is quieter than most "contractor" style generators. The 30 amp RV style plug is also great, no more adapters to lug around. So far i've only used this generator for about 10-12 hours starting and stopping it 5-6 times without any problems.

Great generator
Great generators. I use several in my company. Keep the oil topped off, they run on little over 1/2 qt, so if it gets low you're in trouble. Buy a couple extra valve cover gaskets from Champion in CA, they're only $2.00 each.

The right generator
This is my 3rd Champion generator. I bought the first one to power my house during electrical outages when I lived in a 1500sf house, I upgraded when I moved to a 3100sf house. This third one I bought to power my RV. It has just the right amount of power/noise level and fuel useage to keep me going 100%. The generator which originall came with my RV could not power the AC/TV and microwave or coffee maker simultaniously. This Champion generator barely even notices when I load it up. I get better run times per tank of gas than listed in the specfications. No leaks, easy to start (usually first pull) and quieter than I expected. I recommend using a fuel stabilizer when it is not in use for awhile, otherwise starting might be more difficult. I have over 100 hours on my home standby Champion generator and am still on the original spark plug.

Generator is Excellent for RV or Solar backup
This is a great Generator. It is efficient and quiet running for its size. This is our second one of the same brand and size. We have had the 1st one for approximately five years and it is still running strong. We have gone green in our home so the first one is backup for our solar system on cloudy days. The new one is for our RV. We know we will get the same use of this one that we are getting with the first one. Don't be afraid to try this Champion 4000. You will enjoy it and it saves alot of money over some of the other name brand generators that cost four times the price. It is economical to run too.

Autumn Snowstorm!!
After surviving Tropical Storm Irene earlier, and lucky enough not to lose our power, we bought this generator just in case we weren't as fortunate during another storm. After the Autumn Northeaster storm in Connecticut in October, we lost power for just over 6 days! This generator worked great. We were able to run our refrigerator and other appliances.
