  • ceramic for the stove-top

I love this pot. I've been looking for a stove-top replacement for my old corning ware for a very long time. My stuff dates back to the quality era when you could actually put corning ware on the stove-top without any danger of it cracking. Before they outsourced its production. The replacement pot also needed to fit into my infrared oven which has a circumference limitation of 12.5 inches. This pot fits the bill at 10.5", including the handles. The website specs said it was 14" wide, but since the specs were the same for the larger size I took a chance. I'm glad I did because the pot cooks beautifully and looks great. Now I can start something in the infrared oven and transfer to the stove-top, or conventional oven if I choose.

The smaller dishes in this set cannot withstand the heat of a tea candle. One of them cracked open from the heat and spilled the oil contents onto the candle causing a small fire. The larger serving dish to this set is heavy. It is does have a pleasing appearance.
