Most of the artisans live very simple lives and have been doing this type of work for many decades. The knowledge and many of their traditions have been passed down from their ancestors. It gives them much satisfaction knowing they are helping to preserve many dying arts.

Lovely China Lamp
We purchased two of these lamps since we preferred a larger style lamp. The lamps arrived quickly and was packaged very well although there seemed to be a slight dent in one of the shades that popped back out with no problems to the shade. The lamps are on the larger side around 32 inches so if your seeking a larger type lamp this is the one for you... it is not in any way too cumbersome. We love the shade along with the shape of the lamp however I would say that the gold shimmer is not as vivid in color as shown in the pictures. The inside shade is done in a rich beautiful gold color finish that adds a soft nice touch. The lamp arrived with not only one energy saver bulb however two for each lamp. This lamp will blend in nicely with several decors and is quite lovely and unique.

I've bought several lamps from O lately, and I haven't been disappointed. This one was for my bedroom side table. I needed it to be tall and not too bright, so this is great. Unique, but not gaudy.
