Assembly is a hassle
The assembly for this item is hard labor, and time consuming. You will be exhausted by the time you're done. Also, definitely reconsider if you live in a high-rise building. The oversized item delivery policy only allows for the shipping company to deliver to the nearest ground level entry. (note- 'to', not 'through'). Considering that this is 280 lb, I'd rather pay a little extra and buy this from somewhere else, so that I can have it delivered to inside my apartment or at least to my front door. The actual finishings on the bed are nice, but I don't like the unnecessary protruding footboard. The wood is solid, though, and the bed seems sturdy, though not very resilient to scratches.

Sophisticated comfort (and a feline hiding place)
For my entire adult life, Ive never had more than a mattress on the floor, and Ive liked that kind of ascetic simplicity, which also means that my bedroom has a lot of airspace, which is nice. But my girlfriend finally convinced me to get a platform bed and she helped me select the Cellini Modern Black Queen Platform Bed, which I liked immediately for its color and simple, airy design. I have to admit, I am feeling great about this purchase. My bedroom has a new sense of sophistication -- and the cats have a new place to hide.

Great Quality
This bed surpassed my expectations in terms of quality. I have never ordered anything online and received the level of customer service I received on the delivery of this item. They were timely and very good at communicating delivery times. The bed is solid wood construction and relatively easy to assemble although the instructions were somewhat confusing. When assembling the slats it is easier to snap them into place if you attach the two slats together and attach end and center plastic pieces then install the two slats onto the bedframe.

Awesome mid-century design
If youre a fan of mid-century design like I am, youll love this platform bed. The lines of the legs and heaboard are graceful and foam-padded headboard with twill upholstery is a great feature that gives it a certain level of modern warmth. It requires some assembly, but nothing too hard. When it arrived, I was impressed with the secure packing and it was ready in just a few minutes. My bedroom is now officially perfect! Well maybe I can get a bigger TV. Thanks again Overstock.

High quality and Unique bed
We decided to go with this bed after spent weeks online doing all the research and comparison, and we focused on the beds featured with wood and fabric combined. We found this bed offer the best value for the price and the style is top of the range. We love the fact the bed had really good balance between the use of wood and fabric. It's also has good combination between contemporary and old school style. The lines are beautiful through out, and has the nice touch every where with great details. The construction is solid and stable. Good quality material used made this bed look more expensive in person. The rich color finish very elegant, provided warmth, and goes well with most of the furniture we have. We always look for quality rather than value, but this bed certainly has both. I would buy this fabulous bed again, that's for sure.

Ordered, delivered, and slept on without a hitch.
I was almost expecting something something to go wrong when I ordered this bed but it was smooth from start to finish. Ordering (the easy part) was great. The delivery was great (they called ahead to set it up). Most of all, this bed sleeps like a dream! It looks wonderful in our black, white, and royal blue bedroom and it's so cozy crawling into at night.

Instantly my favorite piece of furniture!
WOW WOW WOW. Let me say that again: wow! This is a great piece of furniture and is top quality - better than the low end furniture stores and right up there with the higher end shops. I was initially concerned about not liking it and having to pay to return such a large, heavy item but there's no way I would send this gem back!

Great fabric accent on headboard! I love this!
This is a fantastic design that looks 100 times better in person than on the site! The shape and styling is impeccable and the padded fabric on the headboard looks amazing. This was a must-buy for me.

Cellini Platform Bed
The bed is lovely. Very glad I bought it and would recommend it. The only negative experience is contacting the shipping company. More times than not, you would get a voice mail. When you got a person, you would be put on hold and then you would be disconnected. Messages that you leave were not returned. In a nutshell, Great product but poor shipping company ( if you need to get in touch with them)
