  I recently remodeled our bath off the master bedroom. The contracter didn't suggest I use a ceiling fan, but I chose a 42" brushed nickel anyway. The job is completed and he said, "I was wrong about a fan, this one is perfect"

  This looked like a great fan for our large room with cathedral ceiling. The problem came when I tried to buy a light fixture for it. The fan can only be operated with the remote, and the remote will not work with CFLs. As we all know, incandescent bulbs will become unavailable. Bottom line was 3 candelabra base 40 w bulbs was not nearly enough for primary lighting in this room. "Due to government legislation regarding the efficiency and wattage ceiling fan light fixtures (EPACT 2005), ... most fixtures that used Medium Base Bulbs in the past will be changed to use Candelabra Base Bulbs. Also, since the legislation mandates that the total wattage of a ceiling fan light cannot exceed 190Watts, the maximium wattage of the bulbs may be lowered to meet this criteria and will most likely have a limiting fuse designed to trigger if you use bulbs that exceed this wattage." Probably a terrific fan if you don't want to add a light kit.

  I purchased this fan to install in foyer with cathedral ceiling. I have a rustic cabin style home and I loved the rustic look of this fan. I reviewed the manufacturer and found the Monte Carlo fans to be a quality higher end fan brand. I had chosen this fan from another website,-at almost twice the price of Overstock price. I was so happy to find this on your site-thank you for passing on the savings! We are preparing to install this fan now, so I cannot speak on the quality yet. But the larger fan motor and 66 inch blades should be perfect for our home.

  The fan is amazing, the foldaway blades give it a sleek and streamlined look. It makes my kitchen appear larger. (My old fan had four lights that hung down). It is super quiet and very effective at cooling. The light is also very bright and white. I love this fan!!
