Installation of the fan is mostly straight forward, but the wire/switch control housing between the fan motor and light fixture is VERY diffucult to install. The housing needs to be just slightly deeper or wider to easily accommodate all the switches and wiring connections and be able to get it screwed on correctly. Also, the ceiling mounting bracket may be problematic for older homes with older electrical boxes. Our home was built in to 80's and the span of the bracket was about 3/8" wider than the box in the ceiling. In the end, installed 2 in a large living area and they look and work great. Both came perfectly balanced and are very quiet.

We installed this fan in our contemporary styled bedroom. The styling is terrific with real wood blades. We installed it on a ceiling with a pitch with no problems. This uses a DC motor that is super quiet (you cant hear it all) and at maximum speed it moves more air than I have ever seen with a ceiling fan - It will blow you away!

Affordable and very attractive ceiling far. Would have given it 5 Stars but I have three minor gripes: (1) The fan blade piece is slightly lopsided (the part the blades connect to). My other ceiling fan from Overstock had the same problem. You can barely notice but it bugs me a bit. (2) Wish the fan had a slower "low" speed. The "low" speed is a little too fast. (3) The glass light piece was broken upon delivery. Overstock took care of it in a couple days. Overall, I am happy with the fan!
