I ordered these lamps based on the reviews I read. They are going back as soon as I can pack them up. They are not a quality lamp. The appearance is okay, but the workmanship is really poor. The top came broken and it is very light weight and not sturdy at all. I am baffled by the five star reviews, they usually are fairly accurate--not this time.
These lamps are beautiful and just what I wanted! I put them together myself and it was quick and painless. They have just the look I was after, great quality, price and they came so quickly. I would certainly recommend these to anyone!
We have been very pleased with our purchase of the floor lamps. After searching local stores and not finding what we wanted, to make such an easy, affordable purchase was an excellent experience. The lamps were very easy to assemble, took about 10 minutes for both. They are also very well represented by the photos and description.
How often do you shop at Overstock.com? Few times a year
The base and pole portion of these floor lamps look great and they assemble very easily and quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they take 3-way bulbs which I prefer, but was not mentioned in the description. My only complaint is that the lampshades are ugly and have these funky dangly-things hanging around the bottom of the shade. I considered just cutting them off, but wasn't sure I could do so cleanly so rather than return the lamps I bought new lampshades which greatly improved the look. So, that means the overall cost to me was more in the end, but I am very, very happy with the overall look now. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the shades.
