Product Details says 7" round duct, the 4th picture in the Image Gallery shows 8" vent. In the manual on esteamshower.com, it says 8" vent minimum but the diagram shows 6-7/8" vent. Is this a 7" or 8". My vent is 7 and I don't think I can downsize from 8.

IT HAS DIFFERENT LEVEL AND VERY QUITERead More
We installed a new kitchen recently with a six burner stove top. It required a outside vented hood, and the only one that did not look like a square box hanging on the wall was this one. It arrived in a sturdy box and was well packed. It was nicer looking the the photos. Looks great above stove, and the rounded edges give it a nice sleek look. The hood functions well and performs as advertised. The only draw backs are that it requires an 8" vent pipe, and I have not been able to change the clock to standard time (came preset in military time). Beside those things, this is a beautiful hood, and I wood recommend it to my friends.Read More

Simplly speaking, this hood is excellent. I did a bout one weeks research on hoods before I bought this one, and I found this one is what I want. I have used this one for about one week, and we are very satisfied the quality of the product as well as its functionality.Read More
W bought the 42" version of this hood about a year ago because it was less than half the price of the U.S. made Thermador model. I figured it was probably made in China and sure enough it is. It does not appear to have either UL or CSA safety labs certifications like the Thermador does so you really dont know if the electrical or structural design has been done safely. It does look nice structurally but I dont know about its safety electrically. Because there has been no third party safety lab testing lab certification there may be a possibility to serious injury or death in using this appliance. Or there may not be. You just dont know and will need to put your trust in the hands on some Chinese manufacturer. Also, it has been my experience that the Chinese dont put enough chromium into the stainless steel they manufacture as a cost saving measure and as a result the metal will start to rust after awhile. It looks nice in the store but when you start using it in a wet environment it will start rusting. Stainless steel is not suppose to rust. I found this with both a stainless steel barbeque and patio heater we bought that were made in China. Our unit isn't showing any rust yet but it is not outdoors and we don't do a lot of steamy cooking to expose it to much moisture. The unit is not made totally from stainless steel. The top and back are made from galvanized steel. The fan motor in our unit is unbalanced and makes such a racket on the high speed we just never run it on high. Just be aware that you get what you pay for.Read More
Although we hadn't heard of this company, we took a chance because of the described features and the great price (not to mention the good luck we've had with Overstock in the past). It is everything we'd hoped for in products costing twice as much. It really moves the cooking odors efficiently and much quieter than our old hood. and it looks terrific!Read More
It is great for even cooking Chinese, Italian and Indian dishes with garlic and spices. It sucks air better than any other hood we have had. The only problem is the problematic touch sensor for turning on the light. By trial and error we found a work around for this problem. Place entire side of the palm over the switch to turn it on and off instead of using a finger. I would have marked it excellent but for that minor problem.Read More

Much better built than the others we looked at at the home improvement outlets. bright lights, 4 speed fan allow's you to pick the level of fan needed. Very Pleased with our purchase!!!Read More

The duct for that model is 8 inches. If you want to try and use an adapter, you would want to use it as far away from the hood as possible. So, as close to the roof as they can.
Where can I find Installation instructions & Owners manual?
This has 7" round duct. Existing is 10" round. Is there an adapter piece for this? Do you have installation pdf file?
There is not an adapter piece for this duct. You may find instructions on installation with the manufacturer.
How to Install a Range Hood
If your kitchen could use an update, installing a range hood is an effective way to change the look and feel of the entire room. A range hood is a great way to reduce cooking odors and excess heat from your kitchen. The range hood helps prevent grease build-up around your stove by pulling the vapors from cooking up into the hood and its filters. When you're looking at range hoods, the most significant choice is between a range hood vent that vents to the outside or an under cabinet range hood that simply pulls the air through a filter. With a few tools and some planning, you can install a range hood yourself.

Sewing Machine Buying Guide
Although there are many tools for sewing, the main tool is the sewing machine. Many sewing machines are available, with prices ranging from under $100 to several thousand, depending on features. Before choosing your new sewing machine, think about which of those features you would like to use. Be sure to choose one that can do everything you would like but won't overwhelm you with unnecessary buttons and knobs.
How to Install a Built-in Microwave
Microwaves are a kitchen staple. They offer convenience, no residual heat from cooking and, when compared with an oven or range, efficiency. With so much going for them, it's no surprise microwaves are so popular. If there was ever a drawback to having a microwave oven in the kitchen, it was that the appliance claimed too much valuable countertop real estate. But ever since microwave ovens were made to be installed over the range, that dilemma has ceased to exist. Installing a built-in microwave is really not that difficult, but what many people don't realize is that they need a dedicated 20-amp circuit installed in the cabinet directly above the microwave oven for the installation to be up to code. If you're not comfortable running your own circuit, hire a qualified electrician for the job. Once you have the circuit installed, you can then install a built-in microwave.
Best Fills for Down Comforters
Warm and incredibly soft, down comforters are the height of luxurious bedding. Like all other bedding, down comforters can range from inexpensive to costly. The proof is in the filling. Inexpensive down comforters are filled with a combination of down and polyester or down and feathers. The best down comforters, which are usually also the most expensive, are full of pure, thick down. Take a look below to learn the best fills for down comforters. Hungarian goose down: Hungarian goose down is considered the most luxurious type of down. These extreme cold-weather birds have very thick, almost odorless tufts of down at the base of their feathers. This heavy, long-lasting down is most often used in comforters with a fill rating of 800, which means they can keep a person warm even in cold conditions. Eiderdown: Eiderdown is harvested by hand from the abandoned nests of Eider ducks, which pluck the down from their own backs and use it to cover their eggs. Eider ducks live in cold climates, so their down is thick and heavy. It is used in high-quality comforters with a fill rating of between 700 and 800. Eider duck down is the only type of duck down used in high-quality comforters. All other duck down is usually considered too smelly (and some duck down has tiny barbs) and is used in much less expensive comforters. Grey and white goose down: Grey goose down is used in dark comforters due it its grey color, but it is the same as white goose down in all other ways. Grey and white goose down, which is usually harvested from European or Chinese geese, is the most popular type of down used in middle-price-range pure down comforters. These comforters usually have a fill rating of 600 and above. Hypodown: Hypodown is a mixture of white goose down and milkweed. This all-natural filling is hypoallergenic and much more durable than pure down comforters. While pure down is still considered to be the preferable fill for comforters by most people, hypodown is gaining popularity with consumers who want a longer lasting product without synthetic fills.
