New Dishes  from Charleston, SC, Rating:5.0

I bought several sets of these dishes for hosting a large dinner. They looked terrific and it was easy for me to find complimentary serving dishes and trays. My only problem was that the first mailing had several broken or defective pieces. These were replaced quickly but one of the cups in the replacements was also broken. The third time was the charm! For the money, I was very pleased with the product and would surely recommend it.

This was exactly what I needed. I only wish there was another set available for purchase.

Eight place setting combined from normal four saves money. Two bowl sizes nice extra choice in cupboard. Larger bowl holds a larger can of soup with room to spare for no spills. Dinner plates are huge for loading up and food not touching if you like it that way like myself! This is a pottery set and not too heavy for most. But smaller hands, arthritis, etc might need some help getting a loaded plate to the table. Colors are rich without being brash. A few sporatic, tiny blemishes in the glaze process adds to the authentic rustic feel of this set. Heats a cup of coffee the way you would expect in a microwave (30-60 secs), unlike ceramics. Pottery only hot from food, no hot spots in pottery itself from microwave use. Just used this set for Thanksgiving and was complimented on the set.
