  • A Lot of Imperfections

    Mar 19, 2015

A lovely design but it has a lot of imperfections... paint drips, raised sand-like pieces imbedded here and there within the surfaces, some actual black spots imbedded in the surface. Some sharp edges underneath (which will cause your dishes to scratch when stacked.) More of a creamy white. The bowl is VERY shallow and really would be a spill waiting to happen. I'm sorry to have to return these. Pretty much every piece is flawed. This is not hand-made pottery that can pull off variation as part of the style. Too much to overlook.

  • Very poor quality

I purchased these dishes without reading the reviews based on the Pfaltzgraff name. My mom has had Pfaltzgraff dishes for decades and I assumed they would all be of high quality and last forever like hers. Boy, was I wrong! Numerous pieces in my shipment were broken. The dishes feel very light and fragile. The inside of the dish (I could see it because so many pieces were broken) looked chalky and flaked like cheap slate. The excellent news is that Overstock gave me an immediate credit without any hassle whatsoever. So, Overstock gets 5-stars, Pfaltzgraff gets 0, only 0 isn't an option so I had to choose 1. FTR, I purchased other items from other vendors for this product line, and even with extensive packaging many of the pieces were broken. It is definitely the dishes, not the shipping.

  • Made in China = Not Good

Thought this was made in the USA. It was not and it is as poorly made porcelain dinnerware as there is. I can only imagine the chemical compounds that will leach into your food. Not worth a $1.
