Denby is the best! I would recommend this durable high-quality brand to everyone! Nearly non-breakable. . .

We couldn't be happier with these dishes. We recently remodeled our kitchen & were ready to replace our everyday dishes. I had been looking at Denby pottery for some time & was familiar with their high quality. The price offered through Overstock was such a huge savings! All the dishes arrived safely and well packaged! Thank You Overstock!

I was worried about receiving numerous plates in the mail and getting 1 or 2 that might have been chipped or something. I had no reason to worry. I ordered 2 sets of the of the 8 place settings. They were each shipped in their own box. The packaging materials were super. My only complaint is that the interior of the cereal bowls could have been stacked a bit safer, but even they came in perfect condition. I'm a big fan of the Denby products and their commitment to safety (no lead, no cadmium in the stoneware!). Not only are they a safer product, but they look beautiful. We've noticed too that the plates are slightly lighter than my old Noritake Colorwaves - bonus! One thing, the shape of the cereal bowl is quite rounded. This is not an imperfection, but just the shape of Denby pottery. I can only stack 3 bowls in my cabinet, so I have 2 stacks of 3 and 1 stack of 2 next to the plates and that fits nicely. The next shelf up has the mugs and the salad plates. If space is a concern, you may not want stoneware. If you love stoneware, Denby is your only choice. The Sage/Fire collection is earthy and beautiful and we serve anything from gourmet to hotdogs!

I looked far and wide for everyday china with these criteria: Not made in China; high quality - made to last; updated styling; versatile, neutral color. Denby is all of this. I am so pleased with the smooth finish; washes nicely, goes with all accessories, and a great British company. it costs a little more, but is a superior product.

I have an older set of four in a sage green which is no longer made. These just purchased regency green compliment my existing set very nicely. I would highly recommend Denby. They last forever. None of my older ones have chipped or show knife scratches on the face. They still look brand new. High quality made in England.

These are high fired double glazed stoneware plates made in England. Very good quality, particularly when you compare it to everyday plates made in China. I am very pleased. The bottom of the flat plates are the rust shade (similar to the outside ring, when viewing the plate straight on). This was a surprise, comparing the pictures, but not a deal breaker. I happily washed and stacked the dishes in my cabinet. Overstock should add a picture of the plate bottoms or a side view stack to show this as some folks may be using this in a kitchen where this would be seen and adds to the decor. When you stack the flat plates in the cabinet, they look rust. The bowls and cups are both good size and very simple in design. They have green exteriors, with cream interiors. Overall very attractive. I have a friend who has had her Denby for 40 years and only one piece is chipped.

I searched for nearly 3 years for a new set of dinnerware, and then I found these! I received my order in just a few days and while I cannot personally speak to the wearability of the dinnerware YET, I am thrilled with its appearance. The weight is perfect...not too heavy, not too light....the size is perfect...plates are normal size, not like the platter-size plates that tend to be showing up in a lot of the dinnerware these days. The color is gorgeous and the price, while expensive...is SO much cheaper than you can get it on the Denby USA site and even on Amazon. The 16 pc sets are $$$-$$$ MSRP...so I was happy to get them for this price and think I'll order two more sets to have service for 20. I ordered coordinating glassware from the Denby USA site and they are gorgeous...so all in all I am a happy camper. There was ONE mug that had a chip in it but Overstock has assured me I'll have a replacement ASAP. Great service. Based on all the reviews from people who have owned Denby products for years, I am sure there will be no regrets for me.

We searched for a dinnerware set for five years. Since I once worked in Dillard's fine china department, I saw a lot of great sets, but nothing that really interested me. I wanted something simple, modern looking, colorful and made to last. While searching the Dillard's web site again, I saw the Denby Fire set and really liked it. However, I was not ready to pay Dillard's prices even with their discounts and sales. So, I thought maybe I could find a (non-Denby) inexpensive set on Overstock, never thinking this site would carry Denby and the exact same pattern I wanted. We immediately jumped on this deal and purchased 2 sets. The picture understates the beauty, color and quality Denby dinnerware. We plan to give away all our other sets of mix-match pieces and replace it with Denby. Now we are searching for the matching Denby stemware but only on Overstock.

The Denby fire sage dishes are a nicely finished, well made investment. they are a bit heavy but the dinner plate size is just right. My Mikasa French Countryside plates were awful in the dishwasher, always leaned over, but these stand up nicely. The bowls are a great shape. My one complaint is that the mugs that come with this set are yellow on the inside (the fire yellow color) not ivory like the inside of the bowls and the rim of the plates. Also the mugs are quite big in diameter and are hard to fit in the spacing of the top rack of the washer. The color is a bit more green and darker then the photo. I liked the lighter slightly more gray look in the photo but liked the dishes overall enough to keep. Overstock needs to fill up the space bet the dish box and the shipping box better. The inner box obviously slid around tremendously, but that being said, only 2 dishes out of three 16 piece sets were broken. Overstock replaced them immediately! They were excellent to work with.
