Sleek and sophisticated
We bought this bed a few months ago and I decided to wait and review until I saw how it held up. As in the other reviews, this bed required some extra work to make it solid. I converted mine into a platform bed, so I purchased $40 worth of 3/4inch plywood, and made 3 more slats plus the large pieces cut to make the 'platform'. Then I placed my memory foam mattress on top of that and it has been heavenly! By not using a box spring it really shows off the large headboard and looks beautiful. The bed looks very solid and the wooden feet are cool as well. We've never experienced any instability with the frame, but we made sure to add all of the extra support we thought necessary (I would not have attempted using this bed without it). The only disadvantage to this bed is the upholstery can be pierced fairly easily and if you have pets or children it wouldn't be the bed for you. Even the side rails are upholstered and it's just the right height for a child or animal to prop themselves up on. Other than that, I highly recommend this bed! You won't be disappointed! On a side note: When the bed was first shipped, the headboard box was damaged and the upholstery was torn, so I contacted O.co Customer Support and they sent me another headboard right away. The 2nd was actually damaged worse than the first and O.co sent me a third headboard that they packed up even better and thankfully it arrived safely! I have to say that O.co customer support has been THE BEST customer support that I have ever dealt with and this is another reason I will continue to come back! Thank you so much O.co!

Looks Great, Poor Quality
I've had this bed for just over a year and it has broken beyond repair due to the low quality of the wood within the bed. The side rails screw into the headboard and footboard and since the quality of the wood was so bad, the screw holes became "stripped" and the screws were able to just fall out. This happened in multiple places and cannot be repaired. Two average sized people sleep in this bed so it's not as if there was excessive weight that would cause this to happen. It is unfortunate because I love how the bed looks but if you plan on sleeping in it, I would not buy it.

Great looking.
This item was delivered on time but unfortunately, the footboard had a puncture in it. Upon reporting this, a new footboard was sent out and received very quickly. The frame was easy to assemble and looks great. I took the advice from other reviews and added additional slats for support. The slats provided were definately not adequate.

lovely bed!
just received the bed - Overstock delivery was very quick even at this time of the year - the bed is beautiful; hard to tell it is faux leather. What's also nice is that the headboard is very well padded so comfortable to lean against

Easy assembly but extra slats required!
The bed is asthetically pleasing and easy to assemble (it took me about an hour, and I'm not very crafty), but only 3 thin support slats were provided. As is, the bed mattress is bowing a bit downward and I'm afraid of breaking the slats when I move. I have already coordinated with a local hardware store to pick up extra support slats in a few days. Once I install them, I believe the bed will be stable. In summary, this is a nice bed but be sure to budget time and price of purchasing and installing extra support slats when purchasing this bed.

great bed
I was bit weary about buying a bed online, but after looking around in local furniture stores, the Overstock price couldn't be beat. I was very glad I purchased it. Got alot of compliments already. Other reviews were correct when they said you need to go buy more wood. It only comes with 3 thin wood slats. I just have a memory foam mattress on top, so we had to go buy a piece of plywood for support, but other than that, it's a GREAT buy!

Beautiful upholstered bed!
I have a temperpedic adjustable frame bed (moves like a hospital bed). Was worried this wouldn't work with the bedspring. It works beautifully. Just didn't use all the under bed slats. The look is magnificant. A friend liked it so much, she ordered one for her guest room. Took my teenage sons about an hour to get it all set up.

It-sa-nice-bed don't ya know
My husband and I picked out this headboard/frame because we wanted something that would provide back support and would allow my husbands feet to hang over the edge of the bed when sleeping. The bed shipped in three boxes, shipping was quick and all the pieces arrived intact. We found it easy to assemble, took 30-40 minutes tops. The holes to secure the side rails were reinforced with medal, so it provided a secure/stable fit. The bed came with three slats to support a mattress which would probably be inadequate, however we have a box spring so we didn't require additional mattress support. Our power drill did come in handy for securing the slats. Overall, the bed looks great and has remained stable. We consider it a quality product for a reasonable price. Watch your toes at first though because it is wider than a mattress alone. We both stubbed our toes once, but have sense gotten use to it.

Pleasantly Surprised
I felt pretty sure this would be a good product based on other reviews, but it actually exceeded my expectations. We did add the extra slats recommended by other reviewers. We also bought a 2 x 10 board and attached it to the little legs that come down from the slats. (The board now runs down the center of the bed from head to foot, attached only to the center legs.) That may have been overkill, but the result is very, very sturdy. Nice, simple, clean design. Very easy to assemble. Very fast shipping was highly appreciated! It's a home run!
