I needed the base for my umbrella. The base was sharp looking, solid and very sturdy-at 28lbs. This smooth and shiny black base is the exact item one needs to properly complement the other items of my outside patio furniture set. Need I say more?!

Received this will several chips on the paint. Was able to use some spray pait I already had to touch it up. The finish is alot shinnier than it appears on the website.

The one and only set screw that is supposed to snug the umbrella pole in the base cannot be tightened. When resistance is encountered, it just "slips" threads. Reason: The screw is too small for the hole in the base; the treads in the screw BARELY mate with the ones in the hole in the base. We will have to purchase a decent quality base locally and send this one to the landfill.

This base looks just like the picture, it is a true Black color. It matches my black patio furniture perfectly. When I lifted the box it was very heavy, which is a good thing cause we have bad weather here in Georgia. It is very easy to use, no problems that I can see. For the price, I think its worth it and will last for many years to come. Hope this information is helpful!

This is a nice looking base but didn't stand up to small wind gusts with our 7' market umbrella in it. I specifically looked for sturdy base & thought this would be OK. It is very heavy, almost too heavy to move, but it falls over everyday. I have since stopped using it becuase it fell down one day & the umbrella ripped. I'm sure the roughly 30lb. pound base with toppling umbrella will hurt when it falls over on someone so it is no longer being used after 2 weeks of receiving it. I would return it if it wasn't going to cost so much to ship but is really heavy.

This was exactly what we were looking for -- excellent price and high quality. The umbrella base was delivered quickly and we immediately loaded up the umbrella. I had searched many different web sites and then settled on this base. Because I am a member of Club O, there was no delivery charge. We are extremely pleased with this purchase.

The base definitely serves its purpose, unfortunately it was delivered slightly rusted. Shipping would be way to high to send it back and I guess it would of rusted over time anyway--
