the stuffer does not work, can I return it, but I threw away the box because I was so sure it would work

great unit

Before I purchased this unit I read all of the other reviews. Plainly they have never made sausage before. Chilling the meat prior to stuffing the casings works very well. I found the unit to do the job and this was it. Worked very well with no problems.

Sausage Stuffer

Well first I did receive it within the time I was told, though the box it came in plus it's original packing box were both torn up. No instructions plus I believe it was previously used since the bolts and washers to assemble it twith were in a zip lock sandwhich bag! C'mon if it's used say so! Otherwise it's a good product for a sausage stuffer.

Just OK

This sausage stuffer works ok, except that a lot of my meat mixture ended up squirting out the back opening instead of being pushed completely into the sausage casing. There is a little bit too much space around the plunger when it pushes the meat through the stuffer causing a lot of meat mixture to come back out the opening on each push.

I may have missed it but what brand is this sausage stuffer? Also does it have a gasket around the plunger to keep the filling from escaping the wrong direction? Thanks! rcsharp on Jan 30, 2012 Please enter a valid question.

This is from the Sportsman's Series made by Buffalo. There are no gaskets listed in product information. If you enlarge the picture there wouldn't be a need gasket as most product would be forced through the tub. cheeselover on Feb 1, 2012
