I LOVE the look of this lamp- from a distance. The beads (they're plastic beads, not crystals) are very poor quality. There are bubbles and blemishes throughout and the edges are rough, like they were cut with something that wasn't meant to cut this material. Not one of them is shiny; they're all dull. The silver on the lampshade has bled in places, and it's really obvious when the light is on. Oh, and a black cord on this silver and white lamp? White would be much better and at nearly *** that detail should not be overlooked. The metal arms that hold the 'crystals' are tarnished in multiple places so, instead of being shiny silver there are spots that are brown matte. Unfortunately the piece of furniture that this lamp is meant to accent didn't come in within the 30-day return period, so I can't return it. I'll go to my local bead shop and get real crystals to replace the plastic and turn the tarnished arms toward the wall, so it'll do, but this lamp should cost ***, not ***.
The only con i had was the size of the lamp. It seems a bit small in person but the quality and style of the lamp is spot on. same as in the picture and adds a little oomph to my living room on top of a glass accent table. Thanks Overstock.
Living in a large metro erea you would think it would be easy to find contemporary/modern lamps that are affordable. Not the case! I can't begin to tell you how many places I shopped, hours wasted and extremly frustrated I was and all along they were right at my finger tips! They are beautiful, unique and I can honestly tell you that you won't find them in your local store.
