As a previous customer commented, do not expect this to be a true jewelry armoire. It is very pretty and is fine for earrings and rings, if you already have divided containers but there are no doors with hooks for necklaces. The drawers are bare wood so you will have to line them if you want to prevent jewelry from scratching.

This item does not have lined drawers. The top does not open and the sides do not open to hang necklaces. This is just a lingerie cabinet. Nothing about it is for jewelry. In fact any insert will by will be too small. I bought the smallest jewelers case and it would not fit.

Cute, but drawers need lining!

This little cabinet is a perfect bedside table size and blends well with the antique oak furniture I already had. It is well made and needs almost no assembly - just screw the little feet in place on the bottom. The drawers are quite shallow and unlined, without any dividers for separating jewelry. It should be fairly easy to glue some felt inside to keep things from sliding around, but the drawers are too small to hold any organizer/divider trays for small items. Without any changes, the drawers work for the usual nightstand things-medicines, hand lotion, etc.

This is a really lovely piece of quality furniture, a great bedside table, but it is NOT a Jewelry box. The drawers are just semi-rough wood inside--NO LINING. If you put jewelry or watches in here, they'd slide around and get all scratched up. I am going to have to buy velvet or felt, padding, and cardboard and spend lots of time to make my own lining. So buy it if you need a pretty piece of furniture, but be warned that if you want to use it for jewelry, you have to line all the drawers, or send it back--and it is heavy and expensive to return.
