Carter Patented 4-piece Recliner Slipcover Set

A previous reviewer wrote about how the paper tags telling you what part of the chair that part of the cover was suppose to cover, was sewn on the outside of the cover was true. Very dumb design. However, I very carefully removed the tags with a seam ripper you can't tell they were ever there.

• How did the color on site compare with the actual product? I ordered the burgundy. The actual product was more of a wine color then burgundy. My monitor showed a bit more brown in the color. I am not thrilled with how the color matches the rest of my room and will try the gold.
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very, very good. I have tried slipcovers on funiture before, and never liked the look. This purchase was a last ditch effort to salvage 2 very comfortable, but ugly, recliners. The fit was great and the fabric pretty decent.

I'm so glad I spent a few more dollars and got the 4-piece cover. It fits very well. My recliners are large and leather. i thought the covers might slip, but they don't. They are soft to the touch. Even though my chairs are large, there is still ample room to cover an even larger chair. They would be too large for a small recliner. I was a little disappointed with the color. The ad description was red and the covers are actually dark burgundy.

We "inherited" an ugly chair that doesn't match the schematic in our living room when our friends moved out. We are renovating our home and wanted to use this chair until we had finished the room and selected new furniture. I ordered this item because the color seemed like it would make the chair blend in with the existing furniture and it proclaimed it was four pieces and would fit in. The chair looks so great, that my husband thought I went out and bought brand new furniture. This was the first piece we were going to buy, but now we're looking through our home to determine what else we may want to replace instead. The quality is fantastic, it is easy to put on the chair and it fits my oversized lazyboy recliner like a glove - no problem. :-)

• Did the color match the color displayed onsite? The color matched fairly closely. The grain of the fabric was different, but better, than I would have expected by just looking at the photo.

After seeing it's rating I thought it would be better. It looks loose and it took some effort to get the seat cover to stay on. I had to remove the back of the chair and pull the cover tight. I expected a tighter appearance. The back of the chair looks sloppy. Overall, it does the job but I don't know that I'd purchase it again for $$$.
