This is the second Carter Metal Twin-Full bunk we've bought. One is on my son's room in our primary home and the other is in our summer home. My husband liked this design better than the first (same gunmetal and metallic accents) as you can access the top bunk from the front. The other bed has two built-in ladders on the ends with no openings so the kids have to hop over the bar. This one has an opening on top as you can see from the picture. It's a very attractive bed, no doubt. And very, very sturdy, so there are no worries of toppling down. However, this design has a few flaws. Its' very difficult to make the bed due to the cross bars on the ends. So much easier with the other design. And there are some decorative touches on the cross-bars, on the ends that you can't see well from the picture, that rattle. This bothers me the most. Also, we didn't recieve the correct number of bolts to bolt on the ladder, but to be honest, I am happy about that. This way I can remove the ladder when making the bed. Overall, this bed is attractive and sturdy. I am not sure I would buy it again for the reasons above, although it is a very good product, looks nice, and will last a very long time.Read More
