Complete waste of money
If I could give this item ZERO stars I would have done so. Do yourself a favor, save the cost and the enormous headache. This is a worthless piece of slightly tacky flimsy white felt. In fact, I believe it is thinner than felt. Once received and unpacked I had ZERO confidence that this would hold my area rug, and I was right. We put it in place and the dry adhesive stuck well to the carpet, but did nothing for the area rug. Within moments of placement you could see that the area rug was shifting. This was a lesson in, "You get what you pay for." Compared to a real rug pad I paid next to nothing for this one, and that is exactly what I got ... NOTHING!

It did not make the carpet lie still. The rug moved every time it was walked on. No help at all.

Could grip better
This pad is OK but could have a stronger adhesive on both sides. I bought it to replace an old pad from a different manufacturer, and that one had good adhesion - but left no residue or color on the floor carpet. I was looking for a replacement pad to work in the same way. This one really doesn't, and the carpet on top of the floor carpet does bunch up somewhat. The pad is easy to cut to size and place.
