Excellent machine. Draws a lot of dirt out of the carpet. Get some stains out. Efficient and effective. Only complaint is that the fill tank and return tank are kind of small and have to be emptied and refilled every 10 minutes or so.......but for the $$$ I can't complain.... 2 or 3 24 hour rentals of the Rug Doctor buys this machine for you!!

This is a great little machine not heavy it did very good job cleaning my wool rugs . I used a natural cleaner and warm water so not to shrink the carpet .

I was looking for something to deep clean my area rugs every couple of months, and this fit the bill perfectly. It's inexpensive, it does what it says, and it's worked well on all my different rug textures: shag , wool, and jute. I was horrified how dirty the water was after using it - so much for not wearing shoes in the house. Definitely recommend.

We enjoy vacuuming with the machine. Little problem with emptying container first time. Now works like a charm.

I have off white wool berber ( expensive) carpeting in my bedroom for the past 19 years, The track from the door to the closets was getting impossible to keep clean. I've had professional cleaners steam clean the carpet many times ,but 2 weeks after, the dirt started showing up again. I decided to try the Bissell cleaner, It was far cheaper than the professional cleaners & I had nothing to lose, I was almost ready to replace the carpet. I was surprised how light it was & not cumbersome, like the larger, heavier cleaners. Perfect for me, I'm 80 years young.I used the spot cleaner & the professional strength Bissell liquid cleaner, it was really so simple to use & this little baby did the job! I'm thrilled, the carpet looks almost new.

I own one of the wavier rug cleaners, but as I age it has become too heavy for me. I have to medium size dogs who occasionally have a accident on my wood floor or rugs. This cleaner takes out the stain and odor and is SO easy to use. The floors/rugs are almost dry since it vacuums up the extra wetness very well. The price was great too! I just love it!

I have read many reviews of this product and I must say it appears many are trying to compare this to a Rug Doctor. This is not a commercial carpet cleaner and does what is says it does well. I shampooed my wife's car upholstery and it did the job very well, we have a 14 month old girl and will use it as a spot cleaner also. That said, don't listen to the negative reviews. This is the best cleaner you will get for the money.

Great carpet cleaner. I was skeptical about the all in one clean water/dirty water system, but it works great. I bought this to clean a few 5X7 area rugs and occasionally my car carpet and it works great for this. I wouldn't recommend it for wall to wall carpet, the water tank isn't big enough, but for area rugs and upholstery it is fantastic. It is smaller than others I have used, which I really like. I get it out if someone spills anything on the carpet and just using the suction it pulls it all out of the rug, don't even have to use the water. The price was great. It has already paid for itself (vs. renting a steam doctor) and I've had it for a month.

After years and years and years of bringing that dirty Rug Doctor home from the store I finally have clean carpeting. Really clean carpeting. It's so easy to use and I'm shocked at how well it cleans. The best!!!

The Rug Doctor certainly does a good job and based on the color of the water its sucking up, it gets a TON of dirt out of my carpets. There are still some spots that it can't get out, though, and if you have small, sticky spots on your carpet best to just pick them out with your fingernails. The hand brush is great for stairs and for focusing on bad spots in the carpet while conserving cleaning solution. I also have the floor attachment and find it to be pretty good for cleaning tile floors, but leaves a bit to be desired on the grout. Overall I'm pleased with the Rug Doctor and it has really cleaned up my floors, but they don't quite look "like new" and for the toughest stains on carpet and grout, an alternate cleaning method is needed.

I have been borrowing my neighbor's carpet cleaner twice a year and it always did a good job but now that I have used my "new" Bissel PRoHeat I realized that it was only doing an average job. This machine is such a deal. You think the carpets and rugs are clean.......but they aren't! I'm very happy with it and it runs like new. Also is you want more attachments you can buy a various sites online.

This machine out-performs the leading rental cleaner (Rug RX). Works in BOTH Forward and Reverse while the doctor machine has to be pulled toward you. The handle is adjustable and comfortable while the doctor machine has one setting and hurts your back.. I will always trust Bissell.

this is the lowest of the bissell line of carpet shampooers, but I only need it for a few floor rugs nothing major. For my carpeted bedrooms I wouldn't use this one.

I had my doubts about how effective this little machine is but am pleasantly surprised at the results so far. I was out of town for a couple of days and I left my cat with everything he needed until I got home but when I got home I saw that he apparently had been sick and he threw up on my carpeting in the bedroom and a very fine wool rug in my living room. Both rugs are cream colored so there was a big brown stain left after I cleaned up the dried mess. I tried the name brand cans of carpet cleaner you get at the grocery store and they didn't do anything so I went to Overstock and saw this little machine and decided to try it. By the time I received it, which was quickly, it had been almost a week so I figured nothing would get the stains out. I assembled and followed the directions and was amazed that it removed the stains and you can't tell that anything happened to the carpets. Looks just like they did when they were knew.

I wanted something small for quick pickup of dog "accidents" as we have a new rescue Pom who isn't quite housetrained. And, I wanted something easy to use on the stairs. It's relatively light weight and does a very good job of getting most of the water back out of the rugs. Not too noisy either so I don't have to run get the ear protectors like the larger carpet cleaners. The screw that holds the clip for the hose didn't go in right and I could not get it back off, so I just left it alone. It's holding okay for now, but would recommend care when screwing that in. Overall, I am very happy with the performance of this little machine.

This cleans much better than a recent rental unit and significantly better than a more basic model this unit replaced. This unit is built extremely well. My only question - My old rug cleaner had a separate compartment for soap. With this model the soap and clean water get mixed. Presumably my old unit could do a rinse without soap, this one doesnt have that feature, it applies the soapy water then extracts it. There is no rinse. Sooo, does this leave soap residu on the carpet? It doesnt seem to be an issue and I cant detect any residue, it just seems weird to not have a rinse process. I suppose when using the correct soap its not required.

It does what it is supposed to do...dispenses liquid cleaner on you rug, then sucks it up. Is the rug actually cleaner as a result of this exercise? Maybe.

Suction is great and comparable to the big machines you rent from Rug Doctor at the store. I love this little machine

The only thing that keeps this from being 5 Stars is the spray nozzel doesn't spray on the spot. It sprays on either side of it with very little detergent spraying in the middle. There needs to be a spray hole in the center. So if you are cleaning a small area you need to play around with how to get the detergent on the spot you need it on rather than all around it. The suction seems to be pretty strong although I don't understand how only 10 % of detergent sprayed winds up being sucked up. none the less, it does a terrific job leaving the area fairly dry and more importantly...very clean. I live in an old apartment with typical light beige cheap carpet & I have 3 cats. It's too hard to pull out the large rug cleaner just for quick clean-ups & the Little Green is easier to store away too. Can you tell I love it..LOL !
