THE CARPET CLEANER OPERATED VERY GOOD. IT WAS EASY TO OPERATE AND DID A EXCELLENT CLEANING OF ANY AREA THAT NEEDED SOME EXTRA SCRUBBING WITH THE POWER SURGE BUTTON. IN MY OPINION IT RANKS HIGHER THAN MANY OTHER PRODUCTS OF THE SIMILAR LINE.

The steam vac is great. Easy to use and really cleans the deep down dirt . The body is a little heavy, but overall I am very happy with this product. The extras come in very handy.

The machine is a bit heavy, but it certainly cleans. I have had several people ask if we purchased new carpet. (it's over twelve years old) I used a Hoover Steam Vac for years and thought it did a good job...The Bissel blows it away. I am so glad the motor burned up in the Hoover. Simply put...buy this machine.

Before Christmas, when they were running tv commercials for this item, I thought "what a waste of time, it's too little to do anything" - boy was I wrong! I have a min-pin who doesn't always use her puppy pads, and a deceased min-pin who no longer has a need for puppy pads, but his 'legacy' lived on in the form of stains on my carpets! I used to keep my full-sized Hoover steam cleaner in the living room to use on a daily basis with the first dog. The rugs still retained their yellow outlines, even though I was running Oxy-clean and 2X the amount of cleaner through the machine - it just wasn't enough. Enter the Spot-bot. It is incredible. You place it over the spot, push the button, and the thing really works! There are 2 settings - surface stains and set-in stains. The 'set-in' stains feature uses 1/2 of the resevoir of fluid, while the 'surface' setting uses 1/3. The chemicals are very expensive - you need to buy 2 - one is *** and the other is *** - and they don't last long at all due to the amounts you have to use. I am afraid to try other chemicals for fear of breaking something. What I've started doing is making a batch for set in stains, but using the surface stain setting - this has been working beautifully. I've even went back over some of the more stubborn spots with plain water and that worked as well. Last week I spent one day spot-botting all over the house - probably 20 spots, and they are more than 90% gone! The surface or recent stains are totally gone. The ones that had been cleaned with the big machine over the years came up as well! I have gone from thinking this was a stupid idea, to thinking how ingenious it is! Also, because it is so small and light-weight, it's easy to use, empty, and get on with life - unlike my full sized machine that was such a pain to fill, empty, and lug around. While not exactly Tiffany's jewelry, it is still one of my favorite Christmas presents!!

One of the handles to the dirty water reservoir snapped off the first time I pulled it outwards. Then the lid that covers the plug-in for the hose popped off the first time I opened it. Finally, and the last straw, none of the brushes that spin to clean the carpet turn and one of the brushes fell out of it's spot. Having to take it to a service center and I've only 'tried' to use the machine once. It was inexpensive but a wasted ****!!!!

cleans fantastic not quite as good as the rug doctor you can rent, however, its really close and half the cost of purchasing a rug doctor.

I wish the flat surface floor cleaner tool had been included. I bought the Hoover because my old one, that was the same make, broke after 7 years. I just used my new one this weekend and love it as much as the old one. However I still haven't figured out how to use the steps attachment. Had that problem with the old one too.

Everything positive I have heard about Dyson vacuum cleaners is absolutely true. It is incredible how much more dirt comes out of the carpet compared to my previous Kenmore vacuum (which I thought was great till the Dyson arrived from Overstock!) The price was excellent, too. I have purchased most of the attachments, too, from Overstock and am extremely satisfied with their design and usefulness. Overstock comes through again!

I owned one already. But lent it out and it came back with a broken part. So I bought another one just for my use. Have not used the new one yet. I will lend out the older one. I bought another brand, didn't work as well. So took it back. This brand ( XXXXXX ) is truly the best for me.

It is easy to use however, it will only clean up to 300 sq ft at a time with solution container. It runs out fast.

I've had a Hoover SteamVac deep cleaner for years and, yes it is very dependable. But there is no steam. None. There is no heating of anything. What the booklet will not spell out, but you'll find it on You Tube videos, is that there is some kind of exhaust/hot air blown out the side of the machine which is supposed to help dry your carpet. Really? It does a good job - I just never understood how they got away with calling it a SteamVac.

This machine does a good job of cleaning my carpets, but the tank is so small that I couldn't even get through a small bedroom without having to empty and refill the tank. My old carpet cleaner was a Hoover Steamvac that was finally held together with duct tape on the hoses after years of service. I thought I'd get something smaller and lighter, which this Bissell is. It's small capacity tank is the only drawback.

This product performed wonderfully and allowed us to keep the existing white carpets in the house we bought. We were amazed at the stains it was able to get out. We liked it so much we bought one for our vacation rental house to use there. The only recommendation I would make is to use very little (if any) soap since the soap can get trapped in the fibers and then attract stains. It is not a use and put away gadget though-- after using you'll need to get all the fibers and hair out of the brushes.
