Carolyn Sofa
from Phillips Ranch, CA and Huntsville, AL,  Nov 12, 2007

Unique and classy sofa arrived in 5 business days. It is as advertised and easily assembled. Our "decorative" family is quite pleased. Buying furniture over the internet should always be this simple...

You get what you pay for...
from San Francisco,  Jan 22, 2008

Just received this couch in the mail and here are my topline comments: Pros - unique styling, great size, nice details, amazing price. Cons - the seats feel like they are stuffed with wood. Seriously, no give at all. Our plans are to get them re-stuffed in order to make it "sitable". The fabric is cheap and due to packaging, it comes in with funny contrasts where the fabric has been under pressure which leads to an uneven finish. The biggest con for me: the color. It looks like a warm, true chocolate brown with ivory piping in the photos, but it is no where near that in person. The color is closer to an ash grey/light brown and the piping has a lot of yellow in it - almost vanilla-like. Because of the fabric and off-color, it tends to be "silvery" light brown with yellow-ish piping. That was the most disappointing part. At the end of the day: you get what you pay for. Note: only purchase this couch if you are putting it up against a wall, the back is unfinished and it is just fabirc that velcro's shut. Also, it is ridiculuosly uncomfortable, so would be better as just a staging piece, not an everyday couch. If I could return it without the ridiculous fees, I would.

Carolyn sofa-A total piece of garbage!
from Portland, OR,  Mar 31, 2008

We had this sofa for less than a month when one of the front legs gave way. When my husband fixed it, he discovered what incredibly cheap materials it was made from. Basically the next step up from cardboard! It looks pretty on the outside, but don't waste your money on this thing as it is an extremely poor value and the workmanship is just plain awful!

Pretty, hard as a rock!
from Houston, TX,  Dec 30, 2007

This is a very nice looking couch, nice neutral color, not too hard to put together, overall a pretty good value, but I wish I'd seen all the reviews of how hard the cushions are before I bought it. It truly is HARD! Firmest couch I think I've ever sat on. My husband thinks it's wonderful, as it's for our formal living room and therefore won't look all squished and droppy any time soon. But, we do use the room quite frequently, and it's not really all that comfortable for lounging. I'd probably buy it again anyway if I had it to do over since I love the way it looks so much and the price was so great.

sofa review
from North Carolina,  Dec 17, 2007

First of all - I did not notice anywhere that it stated assembly was required. I expected to have to screw in legs but not put the whole thing togther. I expected it to be brought by freight and be a solid sofa. It is nice but very hard...and I don't think it will hold up well with kids being a home assembly type. It also was difficult to put together. All and all had I known all that I would not have bought it.

Looks Pretty Good
from New Orleans, LA,  Dec 15, 2007

This was pretty easy to assemble and looks pretty good--from the front. The back is completely unfinished; just a drape of fabric covers the guts of the thing secured only by a couple of strips of velcro. Needless to say, it will only work up against a wall, not with the back exposed. As someone else noted, the cushions are firm, but I suspect they will give over time.

Cute but ....
from St. Louis, MO,  Dec 13, 2007

The couch is very pretty with one exception - there is a weird fading section on the lower front piece. The fabric is discolored the length of the front in the shape of whatever is holding the batting to the wood. The instruction were very lacking. The design is very clever - only 5 pieces that interlock with four pegs. Genius but the instructions started at #5 and placement of said pieces became an exercise in trial and error. OVerall it's a nice piece of furniture and I think I would like it even better if it didn't take two consecuitive weeekends to try and figure out how to put it together. Oh, and at first we though it was missing the hardware and lo and behold it was stuffed up into the backpiece of the couch and we only found it because for some reason that piece was shaken. We should have probably called to have instructions sent to us. Ahhh well.

Looks nice enough, but NOT soft and comfy!!!
from New York, NY,  Dec 3, 2007

This sofa looks decent (a bit like it came out of a box but that's because it did) although it really isn't comfortable at all. Had I known the cushions were going to feel like sitting on cement blocks I probably wouldn't have ordered it. It's attractive though so if you're not planning on sitting on it much the price can't be beat. I put this together myself in less than two hours (don't recommend this as my back was sore for days afterwards). Two people will have this thing together in no time.

disgusted
from Atlanta, ga,  Dec 27, 2009

I bought this sofa in february 08 and I entertained for the first time on Dec 19, 2009 and with 3 of my guest sitting on the sofa one of the legs broke. When I called someone over to repair it we discovered that the sofa is made of plywood and they could not even drive nails or screws through to repair it.

WE LOVE IT, you can't beat the value!

Beautiful
from Wausau, WI,  Mar 18, 2008

Truely is a great looking couch, all warm and inviting, until you sit on it and the bottom cushions are hard as a rock. After breaking these in with more use I'm sure I'll be whole satisfied.
