I did a lot of shopping around at the local home improvement stores. I found that the comments on this website were more knowledgeable which led to a very satisfying purchase. Researching, ordering and installation processes were very easy. The lighting is a very nice and soft touch.

Nice and easy to install. The problem with the fan is the noises it makes as it seems to need to warm up. I am hoping it is just a breakin period and the whinning/rubbing sounds will go away. Would not recommend this fan for anyone if this is the quaility of all of them.

Changed the most ugly outdoor fan on my lanai to this one. I chose this fan because the ugly fan lit up the patio way too much, i wanted a more softer light so the patio had a more tranquil feeling. Could of used a lower wattage bulb, but did i mention how ugly the other fan was? This was a lucky find for me as i was just browsing around overstock. Tried to compare with Home Depot, Lowes and specialty fan stores, none carried these and the fans that did have an uplight came with downlights and costed $500 and up. It is a beautiful fan, the only con is that after a couple days, the fan hums from time to time. Ugly fan was quiet, but damn was it ugly.

In comparison to those in the same price range from local big box home improvement stores, this ceiling fan is far and away a superior product. High quality and easy to assemble, I would recommend this one to anyone looking for an outdoor ORB fan. One tiny drawback is that the downlight light isn't super bright (which can be good or bad depending on what you are using the fan for -- we have it over our hot tub in a gazebo so it is actually nice to not have it blinding you in the eyes. However, if you wanted to put this in an outdoor patio and use the light for anything other than mood lighting, you're out of luck).

The fan looks good but when you turn it on High it is too noisey!

I recently bought this fan from Overstock. I love the way it looks on our screen porch. The air flow is wonderful. The lighting is dim, but I didn't want anything bright on our porch. I would highly recommend this fan.

The fans are wonderful. We bought 2 for our outside patio. They look great and the lighting adds a nice ambiance. They were easy to install but the directions weren't the best. So excited to have them. And for such a great price.

The outdoor ceiling fan has a nice look and was fairly simple to install. However, the light as it mentions is very dim. Would be nice if there was a light available that could be mounted below the fan to provide more lighting. I've searched for one to match but my search has been unsuccessful. Also, the fan is a little loud, no matter how much I adjust it, it sounds like a squeaky machine. I probably should exchange it for a new one but it's not bad enough to deal with the hassle. Overall, the fan looks great and serves it's purpose.

The fans shipped to us very fast. They came with great directions and extra parts (just in case you dropped a screw) Only thing we didnt like at first is that the blades are some type of plastic and do have a wood grain but don't look like wood...after installing them though and the blades are going around you don't even notice them. We like how the light shines upward. all in all a good value and well made fan. looks beautiful on our outdoor porch.

This is a nice fan. It's quiet, looks good and the price was great for a good quality fan.

This is a really nice looking fan...very well put together. There weren't parts missing or holes not lining up. We actually put this in our office. It looks nice and adds a lot to the room. Yes, I used it inside. The only difference between outside and inside is the fittings are all water proof/protected and the blades are plastic. You can't tell they aren't wood. The only complaint I have is if you are putting this in to get good light, its not the right fixture. It takes 4-15 watt bulbs. That's 60 total watts....its pretty soft lighting. But with the right additional lighting, its fine. I'm really happy with it. The construction is very good and looks expensive.

We purchased this light for our small covered back porch area. It is perfect. The light is not very bright, but we didn't want a bright light. We don't read on our porch. Our porch is for relaxing, so this ceiling fan provided a soft, dim glow. It has excellent air flow. The top of the light is covered which keeps the bugs from getting inside the light. The fan gives our porch a nice modern look. My husband put the fan together in about an hour, but he has installed many fans. The only complaint we have about the fan is that it came with silver/chrome pull chains. These did not match the bronze color of the fan. We purchased two new pulls in bronze and now we are completely satisfied.

I am disappointed in the amount of light the fan offers. The fan itself is great but I was expecting a larger light radius.

Great fan, installed it in the living room. looks great. FYI - The light is pretty low and the blades are plastic.
