I am very happy with the bed we purchased. It looks very nice and is a very good buy for the price. I was so happy with it, I decided to puchase the matching dresser.

This bed is heavy and made of solid wood. It is extremely nice and I would defiintely recommend it.

After a city wide search of looking for well made beds, I found nothing! They were either too expensive, or poor quality. Overstock to the rescue!! This bed is made very, VERY well. It is solid wood, even the frame is wood. Delivery was fast and efficient, and assembly very simple. A great buy at a great price. My daughter loves it also.

It was the other reviewers who helped me decide to order this bed. It arrived within 5 days, and was put together by my husband and I in 30 minutes. Loved that there are 3 slats included to hold the box spring, and it fit our mattress perfectly--the mattess was 75 inches and the bed 78, so there is no room for the pillows to move much or fall through (as some reviewers complained with other beds). I had a coupon, so the price was great too. This bed fits in perfectly with the other beachy furniture & decor in the guest room, and in fact, our first guests stayed an extra couple days because they were so comfortable! Excellent quality; excellent customer service!

The bed is beautiful, but is probably not solid hardwood as specified in the description. It is much too heavy to be only wood, and the carton says that it meets the California formaldehyde standards. Hardwood doesn't contain formaldehyde. My other caveat is that the rails seem flimsy. We will see how well they hold up. I have my mattress on a bunky board.

The only problem is that there is a small area on the headboard (front side unfortunately) that has a paint defect. It's not exactly a chip -- just looks like an area was smudged off before the paint dried. Disappointing, but fixable. Really, was I going to pack up the whole bed and send it back?

I've had this bed about 2 months now and it it fabulous. It is very study and heavy. The finish is a milk color. Assembly wasn't too difficult, just slide the rails into the holes of the head and foot boards. It makes such a lovely statement in my bedroom. I bought new bedding with lots of pillows and now it looks like a showroom bed. Really beautiful. It came in three boxes and I moved them into the room myself.

As I have said in other reviews that I have written...I have never been disappointed in the furniture purchased through Overstock. This bed is by far one of my greatest purchases. The craftmanship and quality is so much more than I ever expected. I purchased it for our guest bedroom, along with a few other items and I absolutely love it!

I am extremely happy with this purchase. This is a quality piece of furniture. It's solid and well constructed. The off white color gives it a quaint appearance. My only caution would be to remind children or guests that the turned rails across the top and bottom are not meant to be hung or sat upon as there is no middle support.

Beuatiful bed. The only problem I had with it was getting the darn rails to stay in. Putting it together is pretty self-explanitory but definitely had some trouble with the rails. Once we got it assembled I was very please with how nice it looks in the room. Good bed for the price. Solid and Heavy!

Got this for my 14 yr old daughter. Her bedroom furniture is white and this is more of an antique white, but it looks good. My daughter absolutely loves the bed. It has real presence in the room, and is a VERY solid piece of furniture. I rec'd the bed within 1 1/2 to 2 weeks after ordering. Freight driver brought it in the house. It is packed very well. There is a lot of protective packaging. If you need to carry it upstairs you will need someone to help. Once we got it out of all the packing and up the stairs, it only took minutes to assemble. Basically, its just the headboard, footboard, and two side rails (there are also inside slats, and you have to screw the cannonball finials on, but that's it.!) We are very happy with the purchase.

I ordered this bed for my daughters room and I must say how surprised I was at the quality of the bed. It shipped by freight carrier and was delivered right into my foyer. I was able to put it together very quickly and it looks beautiful in my daughters room!

I have never bought furniture on the internet before and for a first-time experience in doing so, I'm THRILLED with my purchase. The bed is very well made and looks awesome in our daughter's bedroom along side the natural color of her remaining furniture. It only took my husband an hour to disassemble her current bed and to assemble the Carlyle bed -- needlesstosay, he was very pleased as well! Great deal Overstock! You have made us very happy!
