Great appearance.Attrocious instructions for chair assembly.

My husband and I love the table. It came completely scratch free, and it was relatively simple to assemble. The only problem we had was with one of the chairs. The holes to attach the seat to the back were drilled on the wrong side of the back, causing us to drill new holes so as to not put the chair together backwards. We then had to fill in the pre-drilled holes with wood putty, but we were able to blend that fairly well. All in all, it is a sturdy, pleasant looking table.

Received Carey 5-piece Merlot Pub Table Dining Chairs Set and was very pleased with the size and construction. It was delivered with "white glove delivery" meaning inside the house to the room it was to be set up in, un-boxed and all packaging removed from house. It was very easy to assemble using a cordless drill with an allen wrench bit and extension. It saved lots of turning of screws with a small allen wrench which would have been a real pain. Some areas of the chairs on the backs didn't have a complete stain finish I repaired them using a stain marker pen. The finish is going to be quite easy to damage in the future, it's a sprayer applied dye stain not hand applied so it isn't penetrating deep into the wood just laying on the surface. With the use of the stain marker pen I'll be able to keep it looking new by repairing nicks etc. This was purchased as a game table for our upstairs rec room. It is the perfect height and size. The price is excellent for the quality of this set.

I had a few problems in getting this item to me and I am not sure if I like the carrier (delivery people) that Overstock has partnered with. Then when I finally got it one of the chairs were broken.Don't get me wrong, for the price I think its gorgeous it was just a hassle to get it.

I love this Pub Set because it fits perfectly in my small dining room. The color is exactly as pictured so it is beautiful with my gold walls and bronze wall decor. I have two teenage boys that actually noticed how nice it looks in the room. I have received many compliments and people have even asked if I do Interior Decorating for a living. When assembling the set, I think I put the legs and side posts wrong on the first chair before I figured it out. That was my only problem.

Little nervous about buying a tall dining room table online that I would have to put together myself. But I am so glad I did! It is well worth the money and arrived within a week. Wood and color is beautiful, chairs are little interesting to put together but overall it was a great buy!

I really like it! We looked around a lot for a pub set that wasn't cheap nor overdone- after getting this- definitely the best quality for the price... and including chairs. We have a dining area off of a huge living room, and I don't feel the table is too small as to get swallowed up, even after reading comments about it being good for a small space. Very sturdy, dark/burgundy stain, and pretty easy to put together. BUT- there is no "seat impression" as the ad states, the surface is flat to sit on.

Chairs are regular height. I expected them to sit high like true pub chairs. The parts of the chair that come together are well crafted. But, self assemble portions are difficult to assemble due to vague directions. The delivery company Over Stock uses(ABF) had very inflexible infrequent hours. I would have had to take off from work to receive my delivery. Luckily my mother was visiting in town and was able to receive the delivery for me. I will never order a large item from Overstock again

I shopped around a lot for a pub table, and this was the best value by far. Good quality for a price hundreds less than comparable products from stores. My only complaint is about putting the chairs together -- it was somewhat difficult. Other than that it is really quite a good deal and a great looking ensemble.

This table looks excellent in my small apt. Very easy to assemble. The only thing I don't like about this set is there is a space between the back of the chair and the seat. When looking down at the seat you can see through to the floor.

I love this table and chairs - perfect size for my apartment. Functional, easy to put together, great color, very similar to the picture. I love ordering from overstock. I don't have time to shop so online shopping for furnishing my apartment is perfect.

I bought this for my son who moved into an apartment recently. Fit into his dining room nicely. Very sturdy. Good price to top it off.

All in all, I would recommend this product! This is a really beautiful set and was exactly what I was looking for. It does appear to be a dark brown, but takes on more of a cherry tone in natural sunlight (not a full cherry color, but red undertones amidst the brown). I had been cleaning it with Pledge all purpose spray, but my mother-in-law wiped it with plain water and it didn't hurt the finish, so it seems durable. The quality seems to be really high with one exception - both the table and the chairs woble slightly. Initially, I was considering covering the seats with padding so kept the seats off for a few days - the wobbling was pretty bad and I was really disappointed with my purchase! However, much to my relief, after I put the seats on the legs must have "squared" up and the wobbling was minimized. They still wobble a bit when the chairs are empty, but they don't when you sit in them. I have also put felt pads on the bottom of the legs to eliminate the wobbling when empty. Even with the wobbling, I would still recommend this product. Great price for the good quality!
