I put this couch in my second bedrrom/office. I managed to put the couch together by myself. It took a couple of hours because I put it together wrong first. The directions are correct, there was some confusion with other reviewers, follow the pictures for the hinges and you will be fine. The couch is actually very comfy. If the couch tips, you have put the hinges on wrong-believe me I tried both ways!

This is a great futon...well built, comfortable and a good price

The assembly took about an hour and was completed mostly by just one person. We realized when we tried to convert the couch that we had put it on backwards. So if you think it's not working or that the mattress tips over when you lay on it you've put it together wrong! The color is a light sky blue and I like the material. There were a couple dirt spots on the material and a small hole on one of the arm rests. The couch is pretty comfy--not as comfortable as a couch that you wouldn't assemble yourself but it has a fair amount of padding and is comfy and is a great value for having a guest bed. The mattress part if exceptionally comfortable. It is really wrinkly and am hoping this smooths out over the next few days. When you sit on the edge (near the arm rest) the seat tips down and there's a bit of a gap btw the cushions and the arm rest. Overall, if you need a smallish couch that looks pretty good and includes a sleep option it's a good way to go. And it's handy that it can be assembled and disassembled (for moving).

the only complaint i have is that the color of this futon is actually a very light blue when you get it, looks nothing like the color pictured.

I waited a while to review this, just because I wanted to be sure that it had lasting quality, and now I very much am! The assembly was a bit of a pain, but once I got it working I was very satisfied. I've been using it as my primary bed for 12 months and it's still firm and comfortable. There is a slight body dent in the cushions where I usually lay, but I'm assuming most people who buy this won't be using it nightly for a year, lol. The look is very nice (it's a much paler blue than pictured here) so as a couch it's comfortable and pretty, as a bed it's comfortable and firm. As someone said, there is a gap between the cushions where the couch bends up . . . unfortunately, that is a reality of futons. If you don't want any sort of space or bar, then you should be getting a bed! An empty space is much more comfortable than some of the bars or wood backs I've slept on before. This is a very comfortable and functional futon.

but I don't feel right reviewing this product because no one has slept in it yet and it's only been here for a week, so I can't attest to its quality.I can say that it looks great and while it was simple to put together, it was not easy.I would say that the value will ultimately be determined by how long and how well it will last, but in addition to a sofa and a bed, I consider that I received the gift of child-like wonder at the sight of this sofa arising out of a box one-third of its size.

I wanted a blue futon for my spare bedroom as I'm redoing the room in a beach theme. The other reviews said this futon was sky blue - and it is! I like the fact that it reclines. It's very comfortable to sit on. My 25-year-old daughter slept on it and said it was very nice to sleep on. My husband put it together in about an hour!Thanks Overstock for such a nice, quality product!

This is a comfortable couch, with a nice color (true to appearance on web ). I haven't used it as a sleeper yet. The cons: everyone was right about the directions. It took two people (mechanically inclined) a few hours to get it right. The fabric sags a bit in the middle - but other than that, it looks good and is comfortable - and great value

The sofa arrived in just a few days, and only took about an hour to assemble. It's extremely comfortable and very easy to make into a bed. We are very happy with this purchase.

I needed this sofa bed to function as a couch and as a bed. As a couch, it's great. Looks good and is very comfortable. As a bed, it's not good. There is a huge gap down the center and you can't sleep across it. I am going to have to go to a foam store and have a piece cut to fit in the gap to be able to use it as a bed. Not good for this.
