versatile
We are very pleased with our purchase. As assemble-your-own furniture goes, this is definitely solid enough so you can feel confident placing your TV and speakers on it. We were very surprised to realize that this is actually three identical pieces of furniture. One is on its side (for the TV to be placed on). We wanted the two flanking shelves to be symmetrical, so one of the flanking shelves we flipped upside down to get the effect. There really is no top or bottom or right side up to these shelves, which make them very versatile. The only caveat is that by flipping the one shelf upside down there was a large sticker exposed and this sucker was very very hard to get off, even with goo-be-gone. We put this piece in our home office, so we bought hanging file boxes (******) for the square shelves and it looks great.

This product arrives in 3 70lb boxes, so you will need a friend to maneuver them around. The building process is not overly difficult, especially if you are experienced in building Ikea products. The longest part of the process is screwing the back onto the bookshelf, because there are approximately 30 screws to secure it. The only disappointing thing is that these 3 bookshelves to do not attach to one another, so they are not completely flush to each other unless your floor is perfectly level.

Something strange
Okay, the good part first- this does look quite nice set up. The color is great, and the three pieces make a good-sized unit. The bad part- I didn't realize that the three pieces are actually identical. It seems that someone came up with an interesting way to market one average media stand. Okay, fine- but the glaring problem with this is that back of the standing shelves also have large holes for media wiring- it frankly looks terrible. Granted, I can place books etc. in front of the holes to cover them up, but this reduces the versatility of the shelves. The back of the standing shelves should not have holes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another negative, the mdf is really poor quality, so be prepared for easy chips. The worst part, and the biggest insult of all, I just discovered that you can buy one individual shelf (remarketed as a bookshelf) on Overstock for $$$. So buy three individually and it will come to a grand total of $$$. Wow. Overstock, this is really annoying.

Great product-Great price!!
When I ordered this center, I really expected a cheaper quality material since the price was so cheap. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I put all three pieces together in an hour and half and the material was very sturdy. It looks like an expensive piece of furniture at a great price. It was exactly as described on the website and looked better in person than on the screen. I would recommend this piece...it looks classy in a family room.

Good deal
I made a mistake when I put the first one together. But that was my fault, you need to be careful which way all the pieces are facing when assembling. The other 2 came out really nice. My one complaint is that if you stand them up like in the picture they are slightly wobbly. They aren't going to fall but they aren't as sturdy as I would have liked. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

Easy to assemble
Great storage /display space at a bargain price. This unit went into my sons man cave and holds 3 tvs, sports memorabilia, etc and is a focal point of the room.

Love this Media Center!
It is exactly what we wanted and the size is perfect! As others have said, it's three separate bookcases sold as one media center and we actually turned one over to make them symmetrical (and adjusted the backing so we could hook up a small stereo system and have the wire holes in the correct spots). The stickers are really hard to get off, but once you do - it's perfect. Our 55" sticks up a few inches above the top of the bookcases, but it doesn't look bad. Overall we LOVE it!

Lots of Storage Space
It arrived in three heavy boxes so have the delivery person bring it in for you if you can avoid doing it yourself. Well packaged and w/o any scratches or imperfections. These are three identical shelves that can be interchanged to fit you style and room flow. I set mine like the image online and my 51" TV fits nicely with room for the additional 4" if you need.

Perfect Fit
So glad I ordered this. It is a perfect fit for our living room. The wood is sturdy and looks great. There was a small knick in the wood and the laminate did pull off but you can't even see it. The sticker on the outside is annoying and I still haven't gotten it all the way off, but I absolutely love this unit. It fits a large number of items and has a simple, uncluttered feel to it. It's xxxx like but less money, better quality. Love this and would totally recommend it.
