Incredible Deal This desk has so much storage and usable space. I love sitting at the desk and working all day, it's very comfortable. The quality is great and it did not have one scratch on it when I put it together. That was another great thing, the assembly was simple and the instructions were perfect. Nice desk after spending all day to assemble My wife works from home and we needed a desk that was functional and modern.We ordered this desk and it arrived in about a week. Seeing the 2 big boxes and all of the parts reminded me why I don't order furniture that needs to be assembled. After looking online for preassembled desks I realized that this was the least expensive option. Started at 10 AM on Sunday and finished at 5 PM by myself. There are no extra parts left when you are done, which I was surprised. They do not provide you with enough glue, so I used my own wood glue. I knew this would be a long project, and was prepared. I am an above average handyman and the desk looks great. People considering this purchase need to know that this assembly takes time and patience as well as skill.

Looks great, feels cheap. After making many satisfying purchases from Overstock, I must say that this is the first product I am thoroughly disappointed with. It looks great from a distance, but is very poor quality. It doesn't even feel like real wood. It certainly won't be a piece of furniture that I expect to last for years to come. Just Okay I love the idea of the desk-- the storage, the color, the shape and size... but the quality is much lower then expected for the price. It is not solid wood as the description leads you to believe. The veneer is very thin and I don't foresee this holding up well over time. Once constructed, it is two main pieces, the desk and the side with drawers/hutch. The only thing that connects these two components is one square piece that you attach to each component with a couple screws, there is nothing in the "corner" of the desk that goes to the ground to support this piece. We are certainly going to avoid putting something heavy in the corner (our printer is large and had originally planned on putting it there) and this design makes it difficult to move without pulling on the screws that attach to each side.

Hello cml, this desk comes with pre-drilled holes for the hutch, you are welcome to move it or not attach it at all, but there will not be pre-drilled holes for the hutch at any other point on the desk and it will leave open holes on the top of you desk where the hutch should have been.
