  • Incredible Deal

    This desk has so much storage and usable space. I love sitting at the desk and working all day, it's very comfortable. The quality is great and it did not have one scratch on it when I put it together. That was another great thing, the assembly was simple and the instructions were perfect. There was even an 800 # to call for help but I did it all on my own. I am so pleased with this item and Overstock delivered a great price.

    I am not sure what the other person who rated this is talking about. This is a great quality desk. Built well and very sturdy. Assembly was quick and I use this everyday for my work at home. The color is gorgeous and my wife and I can not be happier.

  • Great Desk

    I love this desk. Overstock delivered it and I received the desk within 6 days.The desk is a perfect size with plenty of room to work on. The assembly was very easy to understand and took approx. 5 hours to fully assemble (I was taking my time). None of the parts or pieces were damaged and I had enough screws and supplies. I do like the concept that you can have the unit with all the drawers on the left or right of the main desk and if the want to, you can remove the corner piece to have two separate units. Overall I will say that this is an awesome desk and it is built to last. Do not let that one negative review deter you from purchasing this desk. I am convinced that they did not know how to follow the directions.

  • Fabulous Desk

    You get a lot for your money. I shopped all the office furniture big box stores as well as online. This desk has more storage than any of the competitors and the price is just right. It took about 35 minutes to assemble but the directions were very easy to follow. I like how sturdy the desk is but more importantly everything has a spot. I work from home 3 days a week and this was exactly what I needed. I did not want to spend too much but I certainly got a lot. What a bargain.

  • Looks great, feels cheap.

    After making many satisfying purchases from Overstock, I must say that this is the first product I am thoroughly disappointed with. It looks great from a distance, but is very poor quality. It doesn't even feel like real wood. It certainly won't be a piece of furniture that I expect to last for years to come. I expected better quality after reading the reviews and spending this kind of money. Do yourself a favor and spend a little bit more money to get something higher quality.

    If you are looking for a cheap desk than this is a great desk. If you are looking for any sort of quality than I would buy this. The directions were easy to follow. It took me about 4 hours to put the desk together. I liked how the bottom drawer had a file hanging system. If I could do it all over again I wouldn't of purchased this desk. It looks nice in the picture but looks cheap in my office.

  • Excellent desk for the price

    This is a great desk so far. My husband and I put it together together, instructions were easy to follow, just a little time consuming because there are so many pieces, took us a couple hours. Lots of storage to keep things organized but fits in a small room without overtaking the room. I shopped around a lot before purchasing and this was the best one I found for the price, and I'm happy with the quality. Our only complaint is that it doesn't have a roll out key board shelf so the computer key board has to stay on top of the desk. Other than that, I'm very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

  • Great Desk

    The finished product was great! Although there was a chip in one piece. My husband put it together in two days. There are a lot o pieces and he got a late start each day due to work. The desk looks great in my home office. I would buy it again.

I am glad to hear that you have more of these in stock. I would like to order but need a few answers: Regarding the file drawer, do the files face forward or sideways when the drawer is opened? Do the files hang on the side of the drawer or do they hang on separate rails within the drawer? Are the files letter or legal size? I would like to know if the desk can be arranged both left and right, meaning if the credenza can be configured on both the left and right side of the desk. We have a small office and would like to have two desks facing front, one on the right side of the room and one on the left. One credenza would then be on the right wall and one on the left wall. Please confirm the dimensions of the desk. The dimensions listed are 30.75 inches high x 30.75 inches wide x 24 inches deep. The dimensions 30.75 x 30.75 inches describe a desk with a square profile. It is obvious the desk pictured is rectangular. The length of the desk should be some dimension longer than 30.75 inches to match what is pictured. Please confirm what is correct....is the desk rectangular with different dimensions or are the dimensions listed on the web page correct...thanks borthy on Jun 6, 2012

Okay with further calculations I came up with the following. I too would love some clarification from the O.co team. Desk = 30.75 wide + 15.38 (corner) = 46.13" Cabinet = 35.50 wide + 23.63 (corner) = 59.13" Very confusion, I actually had to draw the boxes and figure it out. Good news is the configuration either right or left should be about the same. I'm hoping I'm safe with my 48" x 60" absolute MAX space. Otherwise, it's a heavy and expensive return. skampit on Jun 7, 2012
 
My guess the desk is 60" wide and 24" deep. The overall length of the corner piece 23.63 + the desk 60" = 83.63"...unless Overstock gets back with us we will never know. borthy on Jun 8, 2012
 
I found the exact desk on a different web site ( searched for Cappuccino L Shaped Desk) and amazon listed the Overall dimensions as 47.5L X 23.75W X 30.75H inches. It is manufactured by Monarch Industries. Looks like I was wrong...the overall length of the corner section and the desk should be 47.5 + 23.63 = 71.13" borthy on Jun 8, 2012

It's now 2 weeks later and the last question is still unanswered so I'll ask again. If I choose to put this piece perpendicular to the wall so that the cabinet is against the wall and the desk is perpendicular, what does the back of the connection piece look like. Is it a solid box in the same finish as the rest of the piece, does it perhaps have shelves, or does it have a masonite or cardboard backing and the piece can't effectively be used in this position. It is particle board, but the bottom of the drawers are not cardboard. They are a very thin particle board/wood. I have some very heaving things inside the drawers and they have no issues holding. samfennema on Dec 11, 2012

It's finished on all sides. It looks great no matter where you put it. The corner piece is a little bigger than a foot in dimensions, and there is nothing under it. It connects to the other pieces with screws. wwonsey on Dec 8, 2012
