I've watched this item for almost a year now, read all the reviews, and paused. A little more than 3 weeks ago I finally decided that I needed to go for it, and I'm SO glad that I did. Only last night did my husband and I finally had time to set it up. The legs do sit low to the ground and I was worried, but the cushions is uber thick that you actually sit much taller than the frames would suggest. There are so many different ways to arrange this set that I feel the functionality alone already worth the money. The ottoman, you can set it up as a chair, a footstool or even a chaise connecting to the sofa. Nothing beats stretching out after a long day of work on this sofa. I didn't notice any material puckering like the previous review but I think he/she is referring to the folded crease on the outer corners of the sofa when its position upward. The simple explanation would be that because this is also a sofabed, and unlike many cheap futon, this sofabed has no bar when you lay it flat. All who owns a futon before like I have during our college years, you know what I am talking about and you know how uncomfortable those bars are. This when lay flat, flat like a pancake with no bars and it's comfortable. So obviously if its in a sofa position, it'll have some sort of puckering. If that is not consider a bonus, I don't know what is. I like the look very much: clean, sharp. Don't bother spending a fortune on other set, this set is good to go. I personally like it alot and would totally recommend it.

After receiving and subsequently rejecting the delivery of this sofabed I re-read the reviews that I had so completely relied upon in my decision to purchase this item. To my surprise I found that I had read them correctly and then wondered what on earth was going on with just about everyone else who had reviewed this item and loved it and I felt like I was in Twilight Zone! This item was of very low quality and it showed in how it looked and operated. Before I purchased this item I looked up "leather match" because I wasn't sure what it was. I learned that "leather match" is a mix of genuine leather and man made materials which closely match the genuine leather. This was not the case as there was no leather to be found anywhere! In fact, the material had a plastic/rubber look and feel to it similar to that of inner-tubes. The material was also loose and creased in places -- especially when the sofa was in its up position. Further, the pre-drilled holes for the screws did not line up so if I had kept this item it would have been necessary for the deliverymen to drill new holes. The only pleasant experience I had with this sofabed was the White Glove Delivery Service -- it was superb!

i bought this sofa a year ago and absolutely loved it. but now, i wish i'd epent a little more. one of the springs that supports the seat cushion BROKE...just like that. the seat is currently still usable and you can't tell when looking at it, but i figure it's only a matter of time before it will be unusable. also, the leatherette covering is wearing away in the back and the metal bar there is starting to show through. we are not small people, but not overly big either -- my husband is over 200 pounds, but not much! and my 17 year old is 6'3",. right around 200. so this might not happen with smaller users, or if the sofa is not the primary sofa that you sit on every day to watch tv. it's great looking for the money, but for us, it was a huge mistake. assembly is also a NIGHTMARE.

We deeply regret this purchase. The sofa is hard as a rock and uncomfortable, the material looks and feels cheap and scratches easily, and the support base is also cheap and inadequate. We were lured in by the photo and the initial positive reviews, which are incomprehensible to me now. I wish I had thoroughly read each review and paid attention to those with low ratings, as they are right on target. We also learned a very important and expensive lesson: Never buy a sofa without sitting on it first. What a disappointment.

We are very impressed at the quality and functionality of this sofa. It is everything we wanted in a sofa - a firm comfortable sofabed and good sectional type sofa. And it's more - the fact that the ottoman can be set up as a separate lounge chair, or that it can be used to either lengthen or widen the sofa bed , or the several different configurations you can set it up as a sofa are all excellent bonuses. As a sofa, my very tall husband even says it's very comfortable, and we had good reviews on it as a comfortable sofa bed from our first overnite guest. It looks very good and it's easy to clean (we have the black version). The White Glove Delivery service was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised that they actually completely assembled the sofa for us. We would still not have made this purchase if this had been the more toxic PVC faux leather - we were very happy that this item is made of the healthier PU leatherette.

I was so excited when I bought this sofa, thinking it would be the answer to my contemporary decorating dreams. I was having trouble finding anything in the local furniture stores that wasn't brown, overstuffed, and covered in nasty microfiber. It's 2010, people...enough with the microfiber trend!! But this style is great. It has nice sleek lines and is easy to clean, just as others have said. Now for the negatives. I can see that it's not going to hold up for the long term; there's already a noticeable dent on the spot where I like to sit. It doesn't go away. And there's no reason for it, either, since I weigh less than 130 pounds and I've only had it a few weeks. If that's not worrisome enough, I suspect the backrest is beginning to break. It's supposed to move between three positions: flat, midway, and upright. When at the midway position, the left half of the sofa sags like the hardware holding it up is loose. Unfortunately, this hardware is inside the fabric where I can't get to it. I guess I'll just have to hope it hangs on. I'm also not thrilled about the sharp edges of the frame that stick out from the bottom rear. I understand that it's there for support, but how about a piece to cover it? Not only is it ugly, it's a hazard. I dread the moment that I stub my toe...it's only a matter of time.... The worst thing about this piece had nothing to do with the product itself, so rest assured that it did not affect my rating. But I have to warn you about the delivery experience. Overstock's white-glove delivery is a joke. The driver (non-English speaking, which made it hard to communicate) brought it into the house all right, but he slit the top of the box and literally dumped it on the ground. I flinched when I saw my new **** sofa fly several feet through the air and hit the ground. And I guess the driver didn't understand me when I asked him if he was sure I had all the pieces - he kept nodding. It turned out I got everything but the legs. It took me well over a month to get this delivered, and it was another two weeks after that to get the rest of the pieces. That's it, I suppose. I wish I could say that I'm as thrilled with this sofa as others have been, but for almost $800 I feel like it could have been better. It's not a luxury sofa (don't kid yourselves) but a vinyl futon. Still I think the quality could have been higher for the price.

I had seen this couch on overstock and had been watching it for awhile. I ended up buying it this past Cyber Monday, not knowing what day it was or that it had been marked down $82.20. I was very happy with the cost. Since I got this around the holidays the shipping was free which made another great plus along with the couch itself. The delivery time came just in time before I was about to go out of town. They has only taken a little over a week to ship after I made my purchase. Things started to go downhill once the movers informed me that there co. policy would not let them assemble the couch for me. The so called " easy assembly instructions" that came with my couch had nothing to do with anything easy related. Once I had put both frames together the pre drilled holes in the railings where the screws were supposed to go into and drilled in the wood frame on the bottom of the couch didn't line up. I had to drill new holes to align the frame with the couch. I love the couch itself I'm happy with it, but I advise anyone looking into this couch to read in between the lines so this nonsense doesn't happen to you and currupt your decision and buying this great couch.

I regret purchasing this. Delivery was pretty fast and timely but this is rock hard, low quality, and not a sturdy as it appears online. I dont know what the reviews were talking about on this, trust me and skip it! Save yourself the time.

The material this is made from felt cheap...we were concerned about durability. We took the financial hit and returned it......

This combination sofa and chair was perfectly priced for what I received. It was easily assembled, it feels like leather, and it looks great. It's sturdy, but I would not have a very heavy person sitting on it. It wasn't designed for excessive weight. It gives my office that sleek, modern feel I was looking for. I love it. I haven't used it as a bed yet because the couch is so wide I don't need to put the back down. It's great. I hesitated buying it, looking at it in comparison to other products. I hate that I wasted time looking at other more expensive pieces. It was delivered pretty fast. Worth every penny I paid for it.

So happy with my leather sofas, and especially the uniquely made ottoman that turns into a chair, it's great. It was easy to assemble, it's comfortable, and I love how modern the style is. To top it all that, the price is great!, I had a budget, and this was under my budget, which is great for me because I got to purchase a nice coffee table as well. I'm very happy with my purchase, I would recommend it to anyone.

This modular sofa is very modern and looks sheek and refined in my mixed style home. I bought it in white and now, over a year later, there are no dirt or stains on it. I like the 3d piece which I use sometimes as a chair, sometimes to elongate the sofa and sometimes as an ottoman. I have a small living room and I am able to figure out different configurations that work well. My only complaint is that if I want to sit on it for a long time, such as a few hours, to watch TV say, it feels stiffer and not very comfortable. In other words....it isn't as comfy as a lounger or downy sofa. But I'm OK with that. My cat loves to jump all over it and dig his claws in, so I've taken to covering it when no one else is around. If company comes I wisk the cover off. I HATE doing that as the sofa is so beautiful to look at, but I don't want kitty to damage it. Anyone who comes over comments on how good-looking it is.

I'm so lucky I searched all over the place and the computer for a sectional. Once I spotted this one online, of course I jumped on it right away. So gorgeous and the style is very nice. Plus the delivery was fast, and very nice helpful guys to help you carry your stuff and help with the set up. Oh wow, so comfortable to sit on and at times you'll see some of my nephews fall asleep on it for hours, that's how nice and comfortable it is. Very nice sectional to have if you always have guest like i do.

It took the full 6 weeks for the sofa to arrive. I really like the different ways you can use it. It works well for my long and narrow living room/kitchen. I was aware that it's blended leather but it definitely feels more like pleather. This is good for me because I have two little dogs and it's easy to clean. It's fairly comfortable but sometimes makes a squeaky noise when you sit on it heavily. The sofa back isn't completely flush so it doesn't line up perfectly. All in all not bad for the price...

This sectional looks awesome. Very modern and contemporary. The black one that I got looks as I would have expected. I get compliments all the time. After a year of use, there are some things to note. The cushioning as sagged slightly where there has been heavy usage compared to portions that people don't sit on. However, it doesn't show aesthetically. The tightness of the leather material has loosened slightly, but it still looks good. Friends that have slept overnight on this sectional do not say this this was a really comfortable sofa to sleep on. Nothing to surprising there. My review and recommendation reflects the price at the time, which was considerably less. That being said, this sectional looks great for what I paid. It's ideal for those who's priority on looks has a slight edge over comfort. All in all I am happy with my purchase and I continue to use this sectional every day.

Exactly as appears on website! Bright, rich color! In up-right position, 3 people fit COMFORTABLY (can squeeze in a fourth if want to), plus the chair! Excellent deal! I looked for something like this for years and I do not regret buying it. It blends well with my vintage pieces, but still looks modern for today. Well built. A little firm for sleeping, but a soft mattress topper could easily fix that, if necessary. Love it!

On time delivery without a glitch! Confortable and good looking. We prefer the black. Assembly is easy and quick, just fallow the steps.

Not quite sure it is worth the price here. it does feel cheaper than i had expected. I know it is not real leather but it doesn't really feel close to real leather. i love how it looks and i must say it is feeling better now that is wearing in a little bit, but not $**** good. Design is amazing just wished it felt better!!

When you consider you are getting two pieces delivered for $700 range, it is an excellent value. Assembly is what you might expect for an IKEA product, and so likewise, the vague instructions aren't too clear, so expect to check and re-check before you screw! I got a pair, which makes for an extremely versatile number of positions and configurations... The possibilities for a sectional sofa look are endless, and the functionality and comfort as a sofa bed seems quite good. Full size fitted sheets are almost a fit, and xl twin size almost works on two of the chair pieces used together... (Flat sheets are a good way to work around the slightly odd sizes.) I thought the upholstery quality was quite acceptable for the price; a little leather creme will give it a good luster, and no cows died for your seating, only polyurethanes did... One tip: when you are returning the back to the upright position, holding your hand for some pressure at the crease, to tuck in the leatherette as you push the back up, gets rid of most of the excess material and makes the upholstery look neater when upright.

i agree with the other 5 star reviews 100%. i have been looking for a piece like this for a long time and overstock has the best price. the chair/chaise add-on is a bonus and other sites charge more for this couch alone without the chair/chaise. this couch and chair are very chic, modern and comfortable (to sit and lay on), and the combo immediately upgraded my living room's personality to organic/modern. the dog-friendly leatherette seems like real leather and is very soft and is easy to clean. of note, i picked the white combo. assembly should have been easy but wasn't in a couple of places due to misalignment of holes drilled in the frame. but alignment was forcible with a hammer. so have both a drill and a hammer ready. with the price, appearance and functionality, i have no complaints and am a very happy owner of this combo.
