lovely tea kettle
I am 75 yrs. old, have had many tea kettles in my lifetime and never one like this. Have enjoyed using it every day, It delights me to get up, go to the kitchen and put my water on to heat. Thank you. My purchase has made me very happy and it's certainly economical. Yours truly, funny old lady

Great red teapot!
My husband drinks tea and coffee all day/evening long and when he broke the spout of the last teapot so that it would not stay open I went looking for a reasably priced teapot and saw this cute red teapot, I wanted red as I recently bought another brand of pots and pans and choose a red enamal coating on the outside. This teapot is a good size, seems to heat quickly and I like the glass top a lot. The ONLY reason I did not rate this as excellent is the "harmoneous hum" that is the whistle on the pot. It is not a pleasant sound and most importantly it is NOT loud enough. If we are not standing in the kitchen waiting for the pot to whistle we simply can not hear it well at all. I would love to be able to adjust the whistle to a louder shreak. If you plan to be near the teapot as it is boiling then you may find this whistle is good but we often put the kettle on and walk away to do other tasks and have to think to come back toward the kitchen and listen for the HUM. As complaints go, it is minor and this is a nice teapot for the price.

rust, lid wouldn't stay, wouldn't whistle
I got this because it was on sale 2 years ago. I got a red color. It looks very nice in my kitchen. It had a soft soothing woooo sound when water boiled (I used HAD because it no longer whistles) One day I found some rust inside the kettle near the spout. There is not much i can do. I live with it until I find something i like. Then, the lid started to shrink and wouldn't lock onto the top anymore. One time, i fell and hot steam burnt my hand. I had to use one hand to carry the handle and the other hand to hold the lid since then. Well, it was in sale and i didn't pay much for the kettle. I would love to keep it for longer time for it is really cute.
