I am 75 yrs. old, have had many tea kettles in my lifetime and never one like this. Have enjoyed using it every day, It delights me to get up, go to the kitchen and put my water on to heat. Thank you. My purchase has made me very happy and it's certainly economical. Yours truly, funny old lady

My husband drinks tea and coffee all day/evening long and when he broke the spout of the last teapot so that it would not stay open I went looking for a reasably priced teapot and saw this cute red teapot, I wanted red as I recently bought another brand of pots and pans and choose a red enamal coating on the outside. This teapot is a good size, seems to heat quickly and I like the glass top a lot. The ONLY reason I did not rate this as excellent is the "harmoneous hum" that is the whistle on the pot. It is not a pleasant sound and most importantly it is NOT loud enough. If we are not standing in the kitchen waiting for the pot to whistle we simply can not hear it well at all. I would love to be able to adjust the whistle to a louder shreak. If you plan to be near the teapot as it is boiling then you may find this whistle is good but we often put the kettle on and walk away to do other tasks and have to think to come back toward the kitchen and listen for the HUM. As complaints go, it is minor and this is a nice teapot for the price.

I got this because it was on sale 2 years ago. I got a red color. It looks very nice in my kitchen. It had a soft soothing woooo sound when water boiled (I used HAD because it no longer whistles) One day I found some rust inside the kettle near the spout. There is not much i can do. I live with it until I find something i like. Then, the lid started to shrink and wouldn't lock onto the top anymore. One time, i fell and hot steam burnt my hand. I had to use one hand to carry the handle and the other hand to hold the lid since then. Well, it was in sale and i didn't pay much for the kettle. I would love to keep it for longer time for it is really cute.

I bought the tea kettle because i wanted a larger one and red and this one is both. It drips which on pouring no matter how full or close to empty which is what i do not like. It refuses to whistle but i don't care about that part

Bought this for my daughter. This is a real red just as pictured. The whistle is not shrill or hard on your ears. Almost didn't recognize it as a whistle, more like a loud hum? Anyway, looks and works great.

Received this tea kettle as a gift; there is absolutely no whistle or sound associated with this and boiling water. Also burned fingers trying to open spout. Not my first choice. Red is pretty.

I have used my new tea kettle for 2 weeks and I absolutely LOVE it. It is sturdy, the Red color is Awesome and goes with my kitchen colors It whistles like a train! I am very Happy and satisfied. Love the size and color of the teapot but the sound is more of a slight hum than a whisler teapot. And the pour spout lid, burns your finger when you go to open it to pour. I turned around the little handle to make it bit better. I'll get to keep it in the kitchen till my husband burns his fingers.

This teakettle is a vibrant red that looks great on the top of my stainless steel stove. It is a perfect size and made of a quality weight metal. I am quite pleased with its performance and was thankful that all the reviews I read prior to my purchase turned out to be accurate.

The Red Tea kettle is perfect. I needed a little color in my kitchen and this works. I was surprised, however, that rather than ""whistling" it sorta "hoots" but that's OK.

Love almost everything about. Great size. Very Pretty. You have to be careful when opening spout as steam can burn you if you don't get fingers just right

Beautiful kettle and boils water perfectly (as it should). I agree with the other reviews on this product that the whistling mechanism is unreliable. Mine sometimes makes a noise that is more loud humming than a whistle, but not always.I bought this kettle anyways after reading the reviews about it, and I like it.

I like this tea pot. It seems really sturdy witch is exactly what I was looking for. The last couple of tea pots I had only lasted a few months before the handle or lid fell apart. I use mine every day, and so far it is still together and I have had it about three months. My only complaint is that it doesn't whistle. I have a gas stove and you are only suppose to turn it on medium with this pot, so maybe that is why. Overall I am happy with the quality and appearance.
