I was looking for a teakettle to heat water several times a day for my tea and husband's instant coffee. The last two I bought did not hold up. Handles were flimsy and inside, the metal started turning black. This meets my needs exactly for a few extra dollars. A pretty teakettle that is durable. The only drawback is the wistler isn't actually wistling but I actually have not had the time to work on adjusting it yet. Shipped fast.

I love this tea kettle! Plus, it was a great deal! It is more of a lemon color than pastel, but not a bad lemon color... Very pretty! I love this pop of color in my kitchen!

Don't be fooled, this teakettle whistles. It is very easy to handle, seems well-made. The color is fuller than depicted, in no ways pastel. It is close to the color of a lemon, only with the slightest overtone of orange.

I love this yellow tea pot. I agree with the other reviews that the whistle is not quite as loud as I was thinking it would be, but once you hear the sounds once you will be used to it. It doesn't bother me. This is so cute on my stove as a permanent decoration and very easy to use...heats up fast!

This is a very nice tea kettle. The only thing is that it did not whistle like I wanted it to. I wanted it to be louder so if I was in the other room I could hear it. But it does make a little light noise. Wish it was louder, but it does boil water just fine. I have been using it for a while and it seems to stand up to the task.

I was excited to hear the "soothing" whistle of this tea kettle but it doesn't whistle... well, it has whistled a few times but not consistent. Other than that, it is cute, the color is the perfect shade of yellow for our kitchen. I love the glass lid and the shape of the plastic handle.

I like the way it is made. very strong and heavy porcelain coating. Beautiful yellow color matches my kitchen decor. I had to get used to the "whistle," as this whistle has a much lower frequency than the standard screeching kettles. Because of my age, and subsequent loss of being able to hear high frequencies, this lower frequence whistle is easily heard by me. I give this kettle 5 stars.

Bought it with the mixed reviews. it was the only yellow tea pot I could find, so it came and the other reviews said it whistled, some not, mine didn't whistle at all.. but looks nice

Very cute and stylish; however, states that it is chip resistant but it has chipped and subsequently rusting on the inside where the chip is. No warranty on the product if it fails after you use it...I bought a few for friends and family; and they have not yet had a problem.

I like the color, not quite mustard but maybe not quite lemon...a nice, soft, mellow yellow. :) My only complaint is that I only heard the whistle one time briefly when the water was at a full, rolling boil for several minutes. It sounded like a train whistle which was kinda cute but I have never heard it again. Don't buy it for the whistle, buy it for the looks and durability. Its a keeper any way you look at it. I love it.

This item is not one of my more favorite items purchased from Overstock, but, if soft mustard looks good in your kitchen ... maybe Tuscan, etc., ... then you may like the color of this tea kettle. The construction is better than average, though I have not boiled water in it, yet, to see if there is a problem with the whistle, as another buyer described. As far as weight and overall construction, it is much better than average, for this price range.
