My only disappointment is that this plate is a very light caramel color. It is called 'cream' but the picture shows a white platter. Thus, I thought it would be an off white.The design does look like eyelet around the edge.It is a beauty.It is packaged in a very durable box suitable for gift giving -- which I may do rather than return. The box alone gives it a high end look as a gift.I bought it to go with an all white dish set. Thus disappointed only because it is this very light caramel color -- like a lot of cream in coffee color.Nice color but not what I expected. I really really really wanted white or off white as shown in the picture.
