I bought this rug for my daughters bedroom. She has an outdoor/4 seasons theme, so I thought this was appear as sort of a "soft patch of grass" in her room..and it totally does! I am very pleased. You can't really tell from the picture, but this is NO ordinary shag rug. It's made up of very thick, almost shimmery/satiny strands. I love it. Vacuuming was somewhat of a challenge because of the length of the strands..However, this could be one of those rugs that you can just take outside and give a good shake instead of vacuuming. It's beautiful, and my daughter loves it.

The rug wasn't very plush. The shag comprised long thick threads coming out of a hard backing. Not soft. The color was good, but very shiny. It looked like a putting green on my floor. I sent it back.

The rug is better than it looks. The color is better, and the quality of the rug is better. If you're thinking that this is would look good in your house, but you're nervous because shag rugs are so often cheaply made, go for it. If, on the other hand, you're unsure about whether a shag rug would look good in your house, and you think this muted green would tone it down a notch, I'm afraid you're out of luck. This rug is unapologetically shag, and there's nothing anybody can do about that.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. The quality seems high. The pile is well made, making what could be a hook and loop cheapo carpet into a substantial rug.
