I was afraid to buy this frame because I was not sure what size it was. So, I contacted customer's service and received confirmation that it was a queen size. When I received the bed, it didn't have installation instructions, but it was very straight forward to put it together. We just received our mattress and it fits perfectly into this bed frame (the mattress size is a queen). The bed looks gorgeous, very luxurious look! I am very pleased with this purchase, it was relatively cheap for the look and quality it has.

It would be good if the assembly instructions would detail that 18 of the screws needed are already in place so you should find the other 18 in the package. Unfortunately, the plastic bags containing small parts were sliced so they were loose in the boxes and we thought we were missing half of the screws needed. The holes on self assembly furniture are often slightly "off" which makes assembly a little tricky. My husband said we can never move because he never wants to put the bed together again. It's pretty to look at and feels great.

I almost never write reviews but this was our first purchase from Overstock.com and it was excellent....worth telling people about. It was a great experience right from the start. I couldn't believe how quickly the bed arrived on our doorstep. It was delivered by UPS and packaged well. It took about 45 mins to unwrap everything, dispose of the packaging materials, and inventory the parts. Assembly was very easy and took about an hour... The quality of this bed is actually quite shocking given the low price. I don't understand why the other reviewer said the leather seems fake. It is clearly a very rich, deep brown leather and they even attached a sample that you can use for matching purposes. It smelled wonderful - like a brand new leather coat. Assembling the headboard and footboard to the side rails went smoothly....however, if you're using a power drill or similar to tighten the bolts, watch your torque setting. I did turn one of the threaded inserts to hard and it detached. The metal slats were a bit cumbersome to mount - it would have been a little easier with two people. But they are very rugged and will give good support. I am using a new latex mattress with no box spring so I chose to cut some MDF (particle board) platforms to lay on top of the slats, which worked well. I'm a little concerned about the four vertical slat supports. This bed is light enough that it might get tempting to move it slightly at a later date. I'm going to mount chair bottom sliders on the bottoms of the supports so that if I do move it, they will slide with the bed. Otherwise, I think they would get caught on the carpet and probably bend if the bed is moved.

First off, the bed is nice and easily a third to half the price of other leather beds we'd been looking at in local furniture stores. It is very solid ONCE you have got it put together (**Read below for some assembly tips**) I just received it today and put it together so have yet to experience sleeping on it. Overall, it's a good purchase for us and should hold up for quite a few years and would recommend this to someone looking for a good leather bed at a good price.**HELPFUL HINTS ARE BELOW**1) For the very pesky footboard to side rail installation: Loosen *ALL* bolts at the footboard end on the side rails at least one-quarter to three-eights of an inch (or more). This will allow you to pull the anchor brackets over into place in order for them to line up correctly and allow the bolts to seat more easily into the footboard. From there it's just time and patience re-tightening all the bolts, and make sure to tighten them all equally as you go to distribute the tension.2) Loosening the bolts on the headboard end will also allow for some additional wiggle room as you try to finagle everything together.3) If you're by yourself, when attaching the side rails to the headboard it's useful to place something under the side rail at the footboard end and then lifting the rail to line up the holes on the headboard.4) I think installing the slats would have been easier by placing them on the floor at the foot of the bed and then feeding them up and onto the side rails in conveyor belt fashion since they are all connected and unwieldy.

I originally wanted a platform bed that was not open under the frame, that would prevent dust from accumulating. When I saw this advertised it allowed for mattress or mattress and box springs. I took a chance and bought it. I got delivery within a week, and the quality is unsurpassed. The leather is smooth, padded in the right places, and even on the back of the headboard. It is extremely sturdy, uses metal for the slats instead of wood, and looks like it cost thousands of dollars! Since the side rails are padded leather, you don't hurt your legs as you would if it was wood or metal. Assembly instructions are less than adequate. You must use some common sense. Also, loosen bolts on brackets first. I was going to buy larger brackets until I realized I just had to loosen them and it would fit. Took me an hour and a half to assemble. Was definitely a wise purchase, and I am extremely glad I bought it.

Here's a hot tip when the brackets don't line up with the holes: It could be because the parts of the brackets that come pre-attached to the headboard or footboard were put on backward at the factory. That was the case with my bed. I was lucky that someone thought to suggest this or it might have taken me hours to figure out. Or I'd have the loose fit that other reviewers have described. As for the bed, it's nice for the price and seems sturdy.

We love the bed. Very well made - the leather is beautiful. Looks like it cost much more than we paid. We had absolutely no problems with the condition of the bed or the hardware. Everything we needed was there. We had one difficulty in putting the bed together - corner brackets had been put on already and tightened. But, we figured it out and all is good!! Truly love the bed!

The bed is nice, but not great. The delivery was fast too. Customer support is good and accommodating. Now the bad--it does have metal frame and slats, so it is rather heavy. Mine also came in with many sharp metal shavings in the boxes, damaged legs, and some missing parts. Overstock customer service was great in resolving this issue and I had replacements in less than a week. The other issue is the height. Seems that this bed wasn't designed with a box spring in mind. Even though you can adjust it for the box spring, still a decent height box spring and mattress (I have a midrange Simmons) is bit high. The box spring itself sticks out about half-an-inch when placed on the slats. So the picture on the web site is not a good representation of how it's really gonna look. All that said, it's a good value for the money. The leather is real leather, not bonded "leather", faux, durablend, or similar cheapo junk. It's made in China, but then so is pretty much anything nowadays. I wish the sides and footboard were a little higher to accommodate typical American mattresses, but you still get more than what you pay for with this bed.

plus: looks as nice as the picture. comfie headboard to lean against. Seems very solid.cons: lots of cussing necessary when assembling the bed. The holes that the feet screw into do not line up well and for one of the feet we eventually had to just forget about the second screw. Big tip: you have to loosen the brackets which secure the four corners and come attached to the footboard/headboard before you can even think of lining up the brackets with the siderails. Even so, the screws did not line up well and when we finally got them to fit, they often did not screw in well, but kept hanging up. Assembling it was such an ordeal that I decided never to buy anything at Overstock which I could not return. easily.

I am a pretty picky buyer and this was a pretty good buy. The bedframe came in 3 boxes, 50lbs each. It's pretty good looking. You should decide what height you want it at before assembling it all together or no big deal; you'll just have to unscrew and screw on the side panels holding up the bed. It wasn't hard to figure out assembling the bed, but it does take some work and two people working on it would be better since some of the angles have a funky fit. Remember to loosen some of the bolts when you are assembling other bolts in the same section. My pillow top bed seems so high up, but we quickly got used to it. Now the bed is pretty much the focal point in the room. Pretty bed....

This bed is absolutely fantastic! It is sleek and modern and the price is unbelievable! It is simple to put together with two people, but, the only suggestion that I have is to read the instructions CAREFULLY prior to starting the assembly process. The brackets that were supposed to be put on the headboard and footboard first, were actually shipped already screwed into the sides of the bed, very tightly. It would've been a much smoother process had the brackets just been in a separate bag, but, it was easy enough to figure out. Also, we didn't use the support planks in the middle - just screwed the slats into the frame. That is plenty of support. Bottom line, if you are looking for an inexpensive way to change the look of your bedroom, this is a great way to do it - it adds a lot! And, it's great for watching TV in bed, too!

Wonderful appearance, strong and sturdy construction. I was impressed with the steel supports and added support system to prrevent sagging. Mattress fits snugly into the frame. Easy to assemble. Looks low in picture but is not once mattress is inserted. You don't need box spring. A must buy.

Beautiful. Can be used with or without a box spring as the steel support slat setup is well spaced and solidly supports mattress. We decided to go with a 1/2 height box spring, but a full would work if you want more height, and no box spring if you want low profile. Dark brown leather is well matched between peices and perfectly matches our other dark brown leather furniture (Lazy Boy chair, love seat). Steel construction is SOLID, which made the pieces a little heavy for one person. We love this piece. Excellent value. Very comfortable headboard for those who like to watch TV in bed (all leather - no uncomfortable wood head / foot board border). WE LOVE IT.

Awesome color, made well, and very inexpensive for what you get. I could see being charged more by some of these snobby contemporary furniture stores because it is such a nice piece.

I bought this because I have a toddler, and I always worry he will get hurt on hard bed frames, or falling from a high bed. This has soft, smooth edges, is low to the floor (especially on the lower adjustment). I love it and feel my son is safe playing on and around it. It is in our guest room, and the guests find it comfortable too. Nice leather. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Great value!

I love this set which again was gifted to my daughter and spouse! It is a high quality classic item to be a time-less addtion to the furniture collection!

i bought this bed a year ago, so upset at the price now but either way still happy with it.Great quality and def. worth the price!!!!!!!!!!

Cairo leather bed is gorgeous. It was a little hard to assemble but I did it alone. I wouldn't want to do it again. That's the reason I only gave it 4 stars. I also bought two Manhattan night stands and they look good with the bed. I hope to purchase the Manhattan chest of drawers in the near future. I'm glad it comes assembled.

This bed is of excellent quality. The leather is beautiful and the finish is flawless. Assembly does take some fine-tuning to get the sides and footboard to fit snugly, but with a bit of patience, this bed ends up looking and feeling great. I couldn't be more satisfied.
